It really does hurt, seeing the mount reward that we get ended up being a FOX when Gilneas is populated by afflicted humans that turn into werewolves. Itâs just comical. This mount shouldâve been reward from a Vulpera questline, not a Worgen questline.
Worgen should have gotten more exclusive rewards past the hearthstone. Iâm holding out hope that someone finds some kind of secrets laying around in Gilneas that leads into more rewards only accessible by Worgen, but itâs probably a vain hope.
I will say one positive thing: the shoulders on this transmog set basically replace the horrendous pauldrons on the heritage set. So thatâs a plus.
Still holding out for tails, but this didnât do much to help with my expectations. Blizzard really missed the mark on this one, I feel.

You can fish up Lord Godfreyâs Old Spectacles here, though I donât know how âsecretâ that is anymore, itâs all anyone talks about in that zone atm (when not openly spoiling the story, lmao). That saidâŚlove the fox - it ties in with all the foxes out there, and the whole âfox huntingâ/British thing, and itâs dope! Iâll take any re-color of that model they put out⌠though it would have been a good time for the carriage mount. (And, you know, some sort of option for tails. Gotta say, theyâve always looked goofy to me without them.)

Why was the mount not an armored horse? Our normal mounts are horses. We could have gotten one with a lantern and gilnean flag. I would almost assume they had this fox in data storage and decided to slap âgilneasâ in its title and use it.

Not really that bad. Honestly looks good through I wish there was more rewards like a Toy Banner, Updated Tabard and etc. Just minus the Lion on the Tabard. No Lion just 5 Symbol of Gilneas.

Interesting that the name of the item was changed in the new patch. It was previously called âLord Crowleyâs Old Spectaclesâ instead, which was likely an error since itâs Lord Godfrey who was known to wear glasses, while Lord Crowley wears an eyepatch.
4 years later and 15,229 posts later and still nothing. I guess this is there way of telling you no without telling you no.

I do like that we can finally get Lord Crowleyâs Old Spectacles via fishing, and that we get our own Worgen-exclusive âhearthstoneâ but⌠Why is it a flower, that isnât even a rose??.. And the fact that there is no flight path connection, portal, or an AH or a real Inn⌠There is no real reason to come here after the questline, except for RP purposes.
The recolored fox mount⌠while I like the saddle and bridle coloration, and know it probably has to do with referencing fox hunts⌠Why not a carriage? Iâd even take a Venthyr one, since itâs gothic/Victorian enough.
I donât even know what positives to say about the transmog fit, aside from these shoulders improving the previous heritage onesâŚ
Anyway: Please give Worgen (optional!) tails. <3

Itâs a little awkward that non-worgen characters just get our hearth toy on relog after they complete the chain, while we have to pick it up during our bonus quest. Granted, itâs nice we GOT a bonus quest, butâŚIâm not mad, just disappointed.

Speaking of disappointment. Female worgen death knights are still locked into one face option when picking the skin colors that were added last year.
Like, I get thereâs like five of us playing them but this is honestly pretty bad.

Which is a chicken-egg problem. Not many people whoâd benefit from adding those options, so why add them? Even though adding them would likely draw more people to play and stick with them.
