Worgen form is considered the “True Form” and the Human form is a shapeshift brought about by the Druidic Nature of the curse.
For some reason a lot of people want to believe it’s the other way around.
Technically speaking, the Worgen curse isn’t tied to the soul.
There’s a quest where you have to help some Gilnean ghosts pass onto the Shadowlands, and they revert back to their Human form as they accend.
Likewise, a couple Worgen NPCs in the Shadowlands isn’t much to go off by considering the Shadowlands is very big on freedom of choice.
Lady Vashj was cursed into being a Naga, and that curse was lifted after she was slain.
Within the Shadowlands, she was offered the choice of what form she wanted her soul to take and she decided on her own to remain a Naga.

Right as Worgen stopped being human when they were turned and there is no cure for said curse, if anything the NE may of deactivated the whole idea that biting or clawing someone infects them thing. Really is silly though that this is how things are now and yet Blizzard will still give their human form more stuff and claim worgen got it when in reality it was just humans.
Does it make it worse that every Xmas and New year since we got the model revamp still…they didn’t give us tails for our worgen? Here’s hoping reclaiming Gilneas gets us that tail option and not just a recolor of the heritage armor which i fear they might try to do instead

So… a few things to point out here… first that WoW is a fantasy game so real life stuff means nothing whether it be true or not, second the worgen curse is quite a powerful thing…worgen are not humans anymore despite the human form but all the human form is for is to be used for RP reasons and thus worthless outside of such, and third we’re asking for the tails to be optional as not everyone wants them but we all do agree worgen deserve more options. Female worgen get six things we can decide on for our appearance, males seven but worgen as a whole only got barely a single page of those for our true selves with our worthless human forms getting two pages… not exactly fair but it’s something we’re hoping to fix just like how the elves got their new skin tones and such we worgen want more options for the characters we play too.

The tail was drawn in very thin and no one was able to see it… thus Blizzard removed it.
All they have to do is just tell the Worgens no instead of hiding like some cat and mouse game.
This thread is 4 years old. It was made during BFA no doubt. And yet not a single dev looked at it no doubt. With 15K posts and still counting.
Worgens been asking for tails since BFA with no response.
Telling the worgen community that they’ll never get a optional tail would be like opening a can of worms. They’ve already given the worgen as little as possible but when the worgen community asks for a simple thing such as optional tails only to be told no unlike the elves… you do realize the chaos this would cause yes? Why do the elves get everything they ask for yet worgen get told no? How would that be fair?

Cause elves are treated like famous celebrities with there fancy 200,000 acre mansions with free pedicures and hair cuts. Live in 100 trillion gold mansions.
Worgens are treated like street rats. Reason why this thread is 4 years old. If a elf asked for worgen tails on worgens behalf they would give it to worgens on the first month.

The tails in the concept art is fairly easy to notice:
Blizzard did not add them because Blizzard use poor time management and ran out of time before Cata went live and rushed out a half baked abomination of a model that was hated for 10 years. The Worgen player base dropped due to how bad the female Worgen model was. Plain and simple. But as we post here we are giving Blizzard the feedback that we would like an optional tail for our characters. Its more than time to add it as something that each player can choose to use or not. After all we are paying customers and we have the same right to be happy with our character models as any other paying player.

It really shouldn’t surprise me how many times this has to be reposted to show people the original designs of Worgen.
Especially those that say to “respect the original design that has no tails” (I know I’ve seen this somewhere)
If people really think this they would be advocating for tails to respect the original concepts.

We’re playing as bipedal wolf people. Wolves have tails. We just want the option to have tails.

If they gave worgans tails wouldn’t they have to take out the dracthyr joke worgan not having tails.

They’ve removed jokes before. Althought jokes like void elves can’t be high elves are still in game even thought they literally can now. So they can still keep it since not all worgens will have tails. Just those that do the post gilneas questline.
