Give Worgen Tails (Part 1)

Not one the players who have posted here asking for tails want tail only models we ask for the option to be like the female pandas and either have a tail or not have one. Let that choice be up to the player.

But that’s a whole foot difference in size. Clearly the author is going off in game size. Look at Tauren and Zandi trolls and you see the size difference between them and night elves. And even Tauren are the wrong size they should be 10 feet but then they wouldn’t fit in human sized buildings.

Alright, that’s fair. What source was it you have for kaldorei height?

Night elf height is both in the role playing books and confirmed in lore. If you want to know about the in game model that is from the way the engine renders models and size comparisons to items of known dimensions.

Looking into it. I think I get what you’re saying. Wolfheart says worgen and kaldorei are about the same size, and this adds up ingame. But Wolfheart also says worgen grow a third in height, making them eight feet tall, and the twitter post supports this, meaning worgen and kaldorei should both be eight feet tall. But while worgen and kaldorei models are about the same size ingame, it isn’t exactly the right size, with the models being around seven feet tall. Canonically, worgen and kaldorei should be 0.142% taller.

Yes. Give Worgen tails and upright posture like Orcy bois.

One of the best things about the Worgen tails request is that Vulpera allies are with us. Share the tail love.

Tails don’t only belong to Draenei, Tauren, Pandaren (sorry males, you’re next) and Vulpera. We can get sum o’ that tail love for the doggos.

You know that fair skinned folks can get a tan, right? Not exactly lore breaking. Silvermoon is constantly in a summer phase from the looks of it. Doesn’t seem out of the ordinary for them to get a little browner.

That is a rather funny parody. Made me chuckle a good bit.

Your argument doesn’t hold merit. Blood/High elves are HUNDREDS of years old and their environment has been a consistent factor through their lifespans. Now all the sudden they can get a tan? Nope, no sense at all.

Just accept the fact it breaks lore.

Doesn’t say anywhere in the lore that they can’t. So I don’t see what the actual issue is when people say it’s lore breaking. Much like Worgen with tails, not in the lore. It be dope to have one. If they give a lore reason for it, cool. If they don’t, cool. Same thing can be applied with the new skin tones. These are meant to be extra added fun.

More tails, less shirts!

PUT IT ON

As are tails. We want them because it’s extra added fun for our worgen characters to some of us. There is literally no reason why this shouldn’t be a thing come Shadowlands.

Though

Uh, hate to break it to you, there are TONS and I mean TONS of official Blizzard literature that flat out states that all elves of the High/Belf line are, in fact, fair skinned. The RPG compendium being the first thing that comes to my mind. It’s specifically stated.

Though here is the difference. When it come to the dark skinned blood elves, while I don’t like it because it breaks lore, I do welcome the change. It’s what the players wanted. And despite the lore breaking, I am not on any thread making a huge protest about it either because I am all for more player customization.

I know that they are. I’m saying it doesn’t say anywhere that they can’t shift into a different color pallet. It’s an easy fill in from Blizzard or anyone that likes to headcannon. High/Blood Elves, after living in a summer like environment for hundreds of years, finally acclimated to their surroundings and changed to better fit their environment.

Much like how a lot of people suggested if Worgen getting tails to be more lore friendly, to have questline about it. Or Blizzard can change it. That’s all I’m saying. It’s an easy fill in for all of these new options we’re getting

Exactly. Even if the genetics of the high/blood elves change to get darker pigments, what is stopping the worgen curse from evolving somehow or in some way which results in some worgen sprouting tails?

Though there is a difference, the dark skinned ones haven’t been explained through lore, it was just… made. While I’d love to see Blizzard implement a quest where players need to fix their affliction (since the Scythe of Elune got destroyed), going into the Dream for Goldrinn’s help… the chances of Blizzard actually doing that are slim to none. So in that case, it’s kind of just better to give equal treatment and just let tails be an option. The roleplayers of the game can design their own storyline to it, nothing stopping them there on that one.

So would you be miffed if Worgen got tails since it’s lore breaking if they were to receive them with no lore explanation?
