Imagine fighting against your fellow playerbase in defense of fewer customization options in an RPG…
Raedolf quick question what about Worgen size? Are you ok with it as is or would you like to see it lore correct at 8 feet tall?
People hate fun and get psycho about a fictional universe.
While we’re at this can we also get straight backed Worgen? Orcs got this. Worgen need this too. Lets have fun people.
If Genn can do it, so can my worgen brothers!
How dare you suggest something is possible and in game at the same time! D:
WHAT!? Are you trying to agree with fun?
Perhaps as a size option, yes. Right now, current worgen height does not bother me with not being exactly eight feet tall, since we are still on the same height as kaldorei and are taller than humans, and that is majorly the point. But even in lore, especially in the comics, the depictions of worgen size vary between small characters like Halford Ramsey, large characters like Alpha Prime’s brutes, and everyone in between. Some worgen are even depicted with straight posture for short amounts of time, such as Alpha Prime or Darius Crowley, so size and posture are both canon and could be added, to all races for that matter.
Honestly, I am ok with it as it is, and there are growth potions and pygmy potions easily available to those that do want to be larger or smaller than usual. As for posture, the worgen hunch is the default comfortable posture worgen return to, although they can stand straight. But since it is canon, such options would receive my support.

Caelus, I think your thread is trying to compete with the vulpera celebration thread now.
Ok dude, you’re reaching for straws at this point and you already seem to be falling into the lines of being a hypocrite.
You are but one vocal minority in this thread when the number of unique players who want tails far outweigh those against.
Lore’s been bent every which way. A tail option won’t have any effect on you at all. You’re entitled to your opinions but the new customization options are for what players have wanted over the years. Again, there is no thing in lore that specifically states a worgen cannot have a tail at all. You seem to not acknowledge that. Times change as Garrosh said.
Give worgen tails
One of the few things he said/did that was actually the making of a decent warchief. Though back on topic.
IF Worgen = Yes
THEN Tails = Yes
Do you consider that to be a good thing? Do you support it?
I agree, lore has been built upon. Worgen were once rumored by humans to be from a nightmare realm, and this was not retconned, but rather elaborated upon to be the Emerald Dream, which has been nightmarish for years.
But notice that it was not broken, it was elaborated upon. And even with the night elves, there was nothing saying that they can’t have black eyes, but there certainly wasn’t anything to support it. And when it was added, it was explained. That is all I ask; worgen do not need tails, they never had them and are fine without them, but if you absolutely must, then it better be treated and explained as an addition.
How so? I support canon and already present customizations. War paint, body scars, bite marks, body size, fur color, body posture, ear shape, claw length, and more are perfectly canon. If your argument is simply jealousy over added customization, these are all suitable additions. An extra appendage is not, and actively deviates from the race. There is literally another race available you can play if straight posture and tails is your priority, and other games you can play if you prefer werewolves over worgen. In my opinion, worgen are great as they are, and should not be tampered with.
But Worgen and Night Elfs are not the same size in lore. Night Elves are 7 feet tall in lore an 6 feet 9 inches in game. Worgen are 8 feet in lore and 6 feet 10 inches in game. If you argue you don’t want tails cause its anti lore but then don’t care about size… Well it’s hard to agree with you.
Maybe it’s not just a big enough difference for me? It is said that worgen males are eight feet tall when standing straight, and that seems to line up here.

It was at least as tall as he was, but nearly twice as wide and far more muscled. Long, deadly claws flashed by his face but did not touch him. The eyes— The eyes were those of no beast. - Knaak, Richard A… World of Warcraft: Wolfheart (p. 72). Gallery Books. Kindle Edition.
Okay, let met break this down for you since “you’re not going to touch this one” I will.
In lore, everything Blizzard has written about Blood/High elves has depicted them as being fair skinned. There are no such thing as a dark skinned elf of that line of elves. Every source of official material you find and read upon descriptions of these elves, specifically states it. It’s in multiple mediums.
Dark skinned elves are against Warcraft lore. It deviates from the race just as much as a worgen with a tail per what you’ve said.
In my personal opinion I don’t think we should get them. Yet, we’re getting them but I am okay with it because it’s what the playerbase wants.
You said flat out earlier that you would refuse to acknowledge someone who roleplays a worgen with a tail because it’s not lore abiding. I then asked you if you are going to do the same for dark skinned elves then because they are against lore. Very established lore at that. You declined to comment.
Therefore if you go ahead and ignore worgen rp’ers with tails but acknowledge dark skinned elf rp’ers, you’re a hypocrite.
As I said, you’re just grasping for straws now at this point.
You wish to bring asian and african american Sin’dorei into the discussion. That is an entirely different matter for entirely different reasons. Unless you wish to say you have a tail in real life, and would like to relate to your character.
This has nothing to do with race. This has everything to do with lore and lore only. Don’t be pulling that race BS with me.
The fact you even try to twist my argument into that sort of context only shows you own arguments have MAJOR flaws and inconsistencies. You just do not wish to acknowledge it.
Both males and females are confirmed to be 8 feet tall. This is where people who don’t know lore screw it up. From that little snip there your telling me a Worgen is the same size as a normal human? Part of the monster for Worgen is the fact that are far larger than a normal person. Think for a moment how much more imposing Worgen would be if they were the correct size in game.
Give worgen tails options.
That’s a better idea.
For those that don’t want tails; toggle them off. For those that do; toggle it on.
Win/win.
That’s what we’re advocating for, my Hordie fellow! <3

Oh no, the quote from Wolfheart is from the perspective of Jarod Shadowsong, a Night Elf. Eadrik the worgen is as tall as Jarod the kaldorei. In game, I am as tall as the elf in my screenshot. It may be off by an inch, but I am not upset over that. And if I were standing straight, as the twitter post says, I would certainly be undebatably taller.
