Give Worgen Tails (Part 1)

Another daily reminder to #GiveWorgenOptionalTails :wolf:

Funny story today I was hanging out in Goldshire with an Elixar of Tounges and had a Tauren try and insult me by calling me a furry
oh the irony of it made me laugh. Then it got me thinking, the lack of an optional tail makes Worgen look more human like so let’s add a tail and look less like a human. Simple fix. Also a lore correct 8 foot size.

Someone here in the forums posted a pic of Worgens with tails that looked so good I almost thought it was real. If someone can casually do that in their spare time, I’m certain Blizz could churn it out right quick. If uh, if they weren’t just a small indy company, of course.

Indeed, I’d even be for more body types allowed too. Would be cooler to get something closer to concept art, or even bulkier fem Worgen and smaller male Worgen.

Still waiting for a Blizzard post. I have a dream one day we will get one. Maybe at 9k posts
If not 10k is just around the corner.

It’s May 4 2022 and still no Tails for Worgens. Hurray
Kind of feels like the High Elf Demand at this point.

We will get what we are after one day. We waited 10 years with the worst model in WoWs history. We wait now for something more. If you look at the old number of players you will see the HD model really gave a boost to the Worgen player numbers. The more love a race gets the more likely more people are to play it. Right now we wait for an optional tail. Other things that could help would be more fur colors, real hair styles, lore correct 8 foot size, optional upright posture for Worgen men. We are not asking for the world here just more options that will bring us up to part with other races so we can see the player numbers we deserve.

Give worgen tail options.

Some people ask why I talk about the lore correct 8 foot size. There is a 3 fold reason why I would like to see it.

  1. It’s lore that Worgen grow to an 8 foot tall werewolf.

  2. If the scale is done correctly it will fix the current issues Worgen have with our shoulder pads being ridiculously oversized and floating over our shoulders. Tauren females are 8 feet tall and what Blizzard used to position our shoulders. Scaling the model fixes it.

  3. It fixes the alliance tall race size as all the tall races are almost the same size, Worgen, Kul’Tir, Draenei and Night Elf are all the same height in game regardless of how tall they are in lore. It’s really odd. And yes before someone points it our I know Tauren are 10 feet tall in lore but they wouldn’t fit indoors at that size so they used 8 feet. We know it works I would love to hear from Blizzard why Worgen are so small.

Worgen don’t need tails I’ve been role-playing once since mid MoP gone over the lore extensively. Those saying proof of why and bring up pack form an how it has a tail, is because they’re taking on the form of Goldrinn who himself COULDN’T control his own fury. The druids of the Scythe did take on more beastial features Ralaar had become more bulky fur sprouting from his arms Ralaar. Then Ralaar being the FIRST worgen as many have said before making them neither here nor there an in-between. Yes during classic they couldn’t make tails and those that say it’s anatomically correct. Curse of the worgen specifically for there points. Yet pull from other media like skyrim and eso and werewolf the apocalypse all not related to wow and overlook pieces from where they pulled from . If you want to make your worgen more powerful witnessing the night warrior ritual would have done that but it would have been more strength and fury not a tail. This is druid magic turned into an amalgamation of Night elf and pack form whom were originally were trolls never had tails and humans whom decend from Vrykul another without a tail, keep in mind the curse is also diluted its even been stated to be by Ralaar himself the original curse turned kaldorei near instantly before they were put into the dream.

Let it be optional. If you want a Monkey butt you can keep a non tail look. If others want a tail they can have it. That way everyone’s happy. Also its a magic curse it can easily be altered if you want a “Lore” reason for it. But like I said best part is if its optional you can have it both ways. Both sides win.

Also this is Blizzards own concept art. If you look both have tails:

No one said it was required.

We want an option. Jeez.

You’d think we were threatening people’s mothers or something.

But then Worgens would need special made pants.

You mean like Worgen pre-potion and all that?

Lotta justification to try to not allow others to have tails, and tails just seem quite natural for it - so much so, the concept art had them, writers/artists keep making the ‘mistake’ and putting tails on them and those are official done on Blizzards behalf.

No they don’t. Tauren’s, Draenei, or Valpera don’t have special made pants so this shouldn’t be a reason or excuse at all to keep worgens from getting tails.

I’m going off curse of the worgen and wolfheart which never stated they had an anatomical issue without issue of having a tail. As well as Dark Riders. And curse also shows Alpha without a tail as well as many others during the fall of Gilneas and the curse spreading. I also understand that the concept art is officially done on blizzards behalf but it a concept some concepts don’t make it in to the game but make it into others such as the worgen shown in hearthstone which is could we then deem Valeera’s shadowform canon? Or Anduins Shadowreaper in hearthstone even though we’ve never seen it game or in books? I’m also not saying others shouldn’t what I’m doing is going off what we’ve seen and what has been shown including in game cinematics from bfa and legion. But given its an option many want I wouldn’t mind if it’s given to cater to both.

It’s something that most people who simply skim the post miss. We don’t want to force someone to an option they don’t want. We would just like it to be a check box so its up to each player to choose if they want one or not. Worgen weren’t given a choice for 10 years of the model we were forced to use so we wouldn’t want more people unhappy with a look forced on them.

I can agree with giving the choice, but if we’re given more choice then we should also be able to choose our combat forms. Two lore examples being King Greymane during the fight with Nathanos and Tobias Mistmantle whom of both only transformed after being provoked enough to anger, transforming at the slightest poke from something is supposed to be taken as worgen not mastering thier curse/gift they were made to accept unless you were of Wolfcult In Northrend or Gilneas whom embrace the curse in all aspects and seem to have mastery over it.

I’ve always said more options the better. I think it would be fine for two forms to be optional till maybe say you hit 40% hp then you should take Worgen form till combat is over if you so desire. Same thing for those who wish to remain Worgen at all times. Options just make stuff better. The only thing lore wise Worgen are lacking currently is the 8 foot size and I would love to hear from Blizzard as to why. It would fix issues we have on the female model. Also optional upright model for males please. Genn would look terrible as model if he was hunched over. So please Blizzard more options and fix the size.

I also agree with that too for two forms makes two forms not just be there for role play but adds an actual combat function to it. And it could also be added as an interface toggle within two forms, say you want to be human for the full fight we’d be able to or another we need a boost but we’re human form and sprint is on cooldown dark flight shift and it could be taken as full throttle much like your 40% mark in health buy still allowing choice on when you the player would feel thier character give into the fury or choose to change at will mid combat.
