Give Worgen Tails (Part 1)

so keeping this in mind, and keeping the time skip in mind to that is happening after shadowlands theres huge possibility for many things to exist that have never existed and couldnt exist before

Just like how high elves/blood elves were created to be fair skinned so why all the sudden are they dark skinned? Unlike Worgen, everything Blizzard has written in it’s lore depicts a high/blood elf with fair skin. There is nothing in lore stating a worgen cannot have a tail.

On top of this, when they were doing the models for the worgen during Cata, tails were in fact going to be an intended thing but sadly got cut. The models went through development hell. Though there is official concept art of worgen having tails.

We have stressed over and over we want tails to be optional. So those who don’t want to tail don’t have to have one.

This has been stated so many times in the thread.

yep it has and its true.

Please don’t… That’d be one step closer to ‘furries’ and one step further away from ‘werewolves’. Bad direction to go in, need to do the opposite.

Get out of our thread. You are far too late to stop furry races from being in the game, we are not looking to be furrys we want an optional tail on the model for the race we play to give it a more natural look as the Digigrade legs look odd without something to balance out the model. You are the closed minded type of player that caused the Worgen model to have one of the worst models ingame for 10 years. Unless you play a Worgen you running to cry about furrys is pointless. Your over 15 years too late. You have your own furrys in the form of Tauren. Now would you kindly not come back to post your brand of hate in a thread that has nothing to do with you.

I play this game so its relivant to me, werewolves are a fantastic concept and thats the direction worgen should be pushed towards, they are allready too much like furries, adding tails is just going to encourage ‘that’ croud, which is something that makes us all look bad.
Tauren are also based heavilly on Minotaur mythology, while still too close to furries for my likeing they have some ground to stand on atleast, Vulpera on the otherhand attract that exact croud you’re going to encourage by giving worgen tails.

P.s. would you kindly not reply to me with your brand of hate, I want nothing to do with you.

Hi there. Welcome to the Worgen Tail Thread. You must be new here. We advocate for Worgen Tail options. Don’t want your wuffo to have a tail? Don’t tick the box/pick the option and continue to have Running Wild look like one of the dumbest ‘mounts’ in the entire game.

And y’know what? Hit me, what’s wrong with the ‘furry crowd’. Lay it on me.

Give Worgen Tails.

yea see your just a furry hater lol has nothing to do with this thread go away

Oh no, someone disagrees with your idea, tell them to go away and don’t let them post in the thread!!
Worgen were one of the best race concepts that sadly failed to deliver, we were teased with a werewolf race that has to balance humanity with an inner monster. An interesting duality with a horror feel to it. And isntead we got wolf furries with top hats.

Graymane has atleast had a few moments that reflect the concept, and that makes him a likeable character but player characters don’t get that. Adding tails to worgen is just further reinforcing the ‘furry agenda’ and pushing worgen that much further away from the horror concept.

not at all x3 werewolves have had tails in media for centuries now. plus when have worgen ever been anything close to that? they have also always been the core furry race in wow till vulpera came out and even now they still are for any alliance players
you gave no actual reason as to why they shouldnt have tails beyond “ew furries”

The problem is that Worgen as a classical ‘werewolf’ trope only works if the game built around them is themed around horror. WoW is not a horror game. Yes, there were inklings of the ‘beast within’, but that got solved by the Night Elves, and honestly wasn’t going to be a problem no matter what for PC Worgen.

No matter what, there was always going to be something for folk to point at and scream ‘furry, furry!’ Tails being added as an optional deal doesn’t hurt or mar the concept at all. Call it embracing the wolf if you want some lore flavor atop it. I’m sure Lo’gash doesn’t mind the occasional hug.

Give Worgen Tails.

I’m sorry, but tons of media all over and folklore has werewolve’s hybrid form with tails. Stop trying to project your furry hate, there is no furry agenda. If there was, you’re a bit late since Tauren have been around since WC3.

You know where the door is, feel free to use it. Good day.

Also give worgen tails.

Clearly you haven’t played the worgen starting zone.

And thats not a direction that should be encoraged, it harms the race heavilly and puts a lot of people off playing one.

  1. “ew furries” is a valid point.
  2. Worgen arn’t meant to have tails, and never have done.
  3. Clipping issues
  4. It’ll look bad
  5. It pushes them even further away from the classic horror movie werewolf feel.
  6. It’d require a lot of resources and reworking animations which is time better spent on more valuable things.

Nice try zoomer

i mean you are clearly just a troll who hates furries lol thats all your argument is, nothing constrctive. the tails would be a good addition

Tails would be a bad addition that negativly impact the race and detract from any sembilance of ferocious imagery to try and push a ‘cute’ furry look instead of a horrific monster look.

they literally got puppy dog face options that replaced all of the old monster face options

Oh boy here we go…

No it isn’t. Nice try though.

Only in your own head canon. Other Blizzard products (Board game, HotS alternate skins, alpha models) would say otherwise.

Not really a point either. The clipping issues were resolved with the successful implementation of vulpera and our expressive tails.

Again, that’s only your opinion, which is wrong, but I digress.

They were never meant to be 60s grade classic horror film with tailless rubber suits. Please catch up with the rest of the class in the modern era.

Almost a valid point, if Blizzard didn’t have seperate design teams for each aspect of the game. So no it’s not taking away from anything else, the only hard part would making sure the animations sync correctly.

So in closing, you tried to make some points, and they failed, miserably.
