So I’ll just be upfront. I’m Eevee. This is my other main, I just thought it would be better to post with this character in this thread.
When the nub tail model was showcased, I just said “Whatever, I’ll take it”, and started campaigning. The floof tail definitely made me way happier though.

hugs their own expressive floofy tail Worgens need a tail, their rears look just so…empty without a tail.

Well, it could be that, or it could be that they’re waiting on finishing human customization options before they get Worgen into a testable state.
It’s still too early to tell if Worgen form and human form customization will actually get separated in Shadowlands.
Hopefully they will partially or fully separate Worgen form and human form customization.

We will see I’m not holding my breath but we will see. Blizzard has screwed Worgen players too many times now for me to do anything other than wonder how they are screwing us this time too.
To those who have been timed out, don’t worry about it. I get temp bans every time there is changes to Worgen cause Blizzard gets hurt by what I say. Like how I got banned last time for saying “Blizzard needs to fire whoever took the darkmoon faire cloth outfit and put it in MS paint for 2 minutes and thought that was worthy of a paycheck” apparently expressing displeasure of waiting 2 patches for an outfit that right now on live hardly even works correctly is worth a week of not posting. Not the first time and not going to be the last either.
There is two core things I want to see done to Worgen. The optional tail and a lore friendly size. The tail has been talked about a ton and yet Blizzard once again refuses to even just give us a simple “No we hate you” instead paying customers as always are just ignored. Personally I would take a year ban from the forums just to see a Blue reply to a Worgen thread. But I also want to know why Worgen were made smaller in scale when lore states they are 8 feet tall… We know 8 foot models work in game just look at Tauren and Zandi trolls. The posters here who are like… “Tails are Lore Breaking! REEEEEEEE” Where is your posts calling for a Lore correct height then? If you are such Lore purest then why are you not calling for a correct size?

Kinda missing their point. Intentionally at that. Worgen have never had tails in any depiction. It’s part of what makes Worgen Worgen and not just a generic werewolf or random furry oc.

This is incorrect, in game yes, there has not been an in-game worgen that has ever had a tail, there has however been multiple shown concept art from Blizzard that did have tails.
Also there are out of game depictions of Blizzard products still being made with them, Worgens being referenced with tails in Warcraft books and having to have it commented later that was not intended (Christy Golden)
Or other products, such as:
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/679773016703762440/710187123290144878/unknown.png
From the board game made of WoW endorsed by Blizzard at:
https://www.daysofwonder.com/small-world-of-warcraft/en/
The fact they didn’t come with them could easily have been a tech issue with the resources needed to do a proper job for a fully articulated tail with cape and all that takes into account (such as Vulpera tails now) was not possible before, or deemed worth the time.

But as you would see from many others. A generic werewolf lacks a tail.
So to be more unique they should have the option of said tails.
Yes please, as an option.
Not a big fluffy tail like Vulpera, but something between Tauren’s and that. Well, like a wolf’s tail.

Yes they did the original concept art for Female Worgen had tails. Problem was Blizzard ran out of time. They had a month before Cataclysm before they ever showed us a female Worgen model and what was shown was suddenly scrapped with 2 weeks to go and we were suddenly given the worst model to ever make it to the live game. Alpha Female Trolls were worse but thank god they never made it out of Alpha. We don’t know for sure that Worgen were or were not intended to have tails nor would we find out as they ran out of time. All we know is what is in the concept art. Worgen can have an optional tail the model supports it. If you dont want a tail thats fine I am not here to tell you that I want tails added with no options. But your calling them a furry OC kind of makes me think your trolling and one of the kids that comes to the post only to post your dislike so this is the only reply you will be getting.

Untrue. Genn was written to have a tail in Before the Storm and he has a tail in that new WoW board game. Worgen had tails in art before they were put in-game.
What makes worgen worgen is that we’re wolf-people, nothing else. All worgen look a little different from eachother, took the curse differently. There are no rules to the curse as it is naturally chaotic. We evolved from a druid shapeshift based on Goldrinn… who has a tail.
Btw, worgen isn’t a proper noun, just like human isn’t.

Hello double standards, my old friend.

I don’t think it would be too out there to say that the Worgen Curse affects people indifferent ways. Like say the current tailless models are those who are holding onto their humanity and it shapes their form to have more of their former human traits, but someone who fully accepts the curse exhibit more wolf-life features being closer to the Pack Form and Goldrinn as a result.

Unrelated, but I have a nasty habit of capitalizing random words when I type for no particular reason. I’ve given up trying to control it for anything but the most formal writing.

Keep the tail fight alive!
Also to the one whom said “generic werewolves don’t have tails.”
Elder Scrolls, Werewolf the Apocalypse, and many many many other mediums/stories/movies/games say hello.

Old movie wolfman style werewolves don’t have tails. It was more a limit of prosthetic and makeup technology of the time. However it’s enough of an established trope that you could probably call it an canon monster design.
Worgen are definitely not at all similar to the makeup-based movie monsters though. It’s an entirely different aesthetic
We need tails for these Worgen stat.

The race was created without tails so why all of a sudden would they have tails? That just totally changes the already established lore of the race that it does not have tails.
And I am sure there are worgen players who don’t want to see their character changed in some update.

actually… theres alot of lore changes coming. the reason is because blizzard is oppening up a door to include more lore that has never been there before. thats the entire point of the new starting sozne and why we now can play as the diferent dwarf clans, the sand trolls, difference races of humans, and different races of worgen as well from all over the world not just the current lore established areas
