Give Worgen Tails (Part 1)

Really worgen need elements that add value to the race.
Worgen is a race. Our definition is not a human race, but a worgen race. Worgs, for all purposes, are wolves, and wolves have tails.

Since Blizzard does not seem interested in seeing the worgen gain some territorial rightful gain, then they could at least do something cosmetic to value the race.

I would like tails to be one of the cosmetics made available to worgen to further reflect the wolf’s nature of the race.

Druids have tails. Worgen are a druidic transformation. So we could have tail

People pointed out the whole tail bone thing a few days ago, and yeah… tail bone turning in to a tail seems way more logical than our ears suddenly shifting to the top of our heads, growing a whole snout, or heck, our legs dismorphing and bending around completely to a completely new shape and now suddenly having digi legs.

Honestly, aside from like the handful of people that argue against it for weird reasons, hardly anyone is against giving the wolf race a tail like actual wolves. When Blizzard released the bluepost about the new cosmetics in shadowlands, and mentioned the part about “reflect the beast within with new vertical eyes options”, as a dk, I’m like… okay, guess I’m left out of the picture. What better way to reflect the beast within than by having a tail option?

Give Worgen Tails Blizzard, we know you want to. We see all the art your artists are pumping out with tailed worgens. I can guarantee you that we will end up seeing another official tailed worgen at some point this year. If not in 9.3, then give us a announcement confirming tails going in to the next expansion in 10.0.

It’d be more like our feet and toes shifting positions. The ankle to toe bit elongating and the knee to ankle bit shortening a little.

Animals with digitidrade legs and ones with whatever it is we call ours are actually the same design entirely just it is modified heavily.

same parts and pieces just different orientations.

Just imagine characters like Wolfsbane from the X-Men or Changeling from the Titans.

It does not turn into a wolf without a tail and its intermediate form has a tail.
Whenever Garfield Logan uses an animal shape that has a tiger-like tail, we can expect a tail on his tigers.

Night Elves, trolls and even Kultirans, use animal forms that have a tail.
Night Elves, trolls and even Kultirans, have no feathers, claws or fangs, but when they transform, they are there with all the equipment, which grows from their own bodies.

Trolls can even use a shape like this, which has a tail. Where did it come from?
Nobody questions the presence of the tail in the Tigon.

" The tigon is a creature resembling a humanoid, so far primarily seen in the form of troll priests taking on the aspect of the feline loa Shirvallah and Bethekk."

Why in a worgen that is more wolf than man would it be strange to have a more wolfish appearance?

We just need it to be a totally optional cosmetic as much as others that already exist in the game as it already is with the body posture of the orcs or with the tauren.

It is a very small thing and would already make a huge difference for worgen.

Whoa.

Forget furry stuff… I think I’m into chains.

I mean…

Neat picture.

Have I ever said how much I think whips and such should be weapons in most games?

That’s basically a worgen death knight using death grip.

Also, a quick update. Hearthstone pushed out a hotfix earlier this week that fixed up quite a few card arts. And guess what? The tails remain. The tails are intentional. Tails are real. Tails confirmed. ;D

Love Innistrad. Prey Apon is a nice card cause it shows how good a werewolf can look when they tower over a human size wise. Also all the Innistrad werewolves have tails. So lets see a lore correct Worgen size and optional tails Blizzard.

Beautiful illustrationm Paladina.

Yes! Magic always has good illustrations of werewolves, minotaurs, leonids and other demi-human peoples. :wolf: :lion: :boar: :rhinoceros: :hippopotamus: :goat: :bear: :shark: :dolphin: :parrot: :frog: :crocodile: :turtle: :snake: :gorilla: :crocodile:

The tail helps to make it look more like a wolf that walks like a man.
Aesthetically, it is more beautiful. That simple.

But humans do have tails, they’re just vestigial.

Also, humans don’t have long snouts, claws, long ears, etc.
So it’s really, really weird that you think the rest of the changes are normal but a tail isn’t.

What was said above about digitigrade legs. Wolves do not have legs twisted around, we just walk on the lowest segment of our legs (plantigrade), which is mostly unique to us and bears and kangaroos and such.

Reasons Worgen Should have tails
1.) I miss my boyfriend :pensive: he falls asleep earlier than me and then my little energy starts to manifest because I feel insecure whenever my thoughts at the end of the day start to pile up and keep me awake

hoping we get an answer soon!

Still holding out till Blizzcon!
I actually wonder if we will get a normal blizzcon this year, or yet another Blizzconlie.
Either way, that will be when we get another shot at asking the tail question.
By the time next Blizzcon hits, I can see this thread hitting almost 10k in the weeks leading up to it. Give us a answer Blizzard. The worgen community has spoken. We want optional tails!

Frankly? After their “no more customizations in Shadowland” you can bet that the devs will be drown under a pile of questions and complaints on this aspect at the next blizzcon.
I bet that the optionnal tail question will be drowned as well.

I had a dream that worgen got all these tail customizations from small to long to a curled tail like a husky. They all had these passive wagging animations and they looked so perfect on the worgen. Please blizzard give us tails!
