The idea is to make it optional so people can pick or choose if they want to use it or not. When you pay for my account you can dictate if I can ask for a tail or not on the core race I play and have played since Cataclysm started. If you don’t like it well im sorry but an optional tail isn’t going to hurt WoW and end the game unless your hate for furrys is so great you quit. Seeing as you spell werewolf as warewolf for some odd reason I think your just letting a blind dislike of something cloud your judgment.
Also fun note werewolves and wolf men are different and portrayed differently. Also what is wrong in your mind with a character covered in fur? There are more than just one kind of furry out there. I make a living streaming using my character Asheru Swiftwind as the basis for my twitch channel and while I get the occasional hater, I laugh at them as I make a living doing something I enjoy while they are some sad internet troll who can’t hardly have a valid conversation without letting their unnecessary hate of something show.
it is very possible that the models used had been altered ones from another race. I like worgen and tried rolling one, but the animations really turned me off because it either felt off or nit imposing enough. (This is why my dk is now a VE instead of a worgen) still don’t agree with the tail though.
just out of couriosity, what if the made tails like N’zoth’s gift. If memory serves me right the only one who could see that you had N’zoth’s gift other than you, were other wearers of N’zoth’s gift. Instead this would be called Goldrinn’s gift, Those who get it would unlock tail options. These Options would be visible to the player and other characters with Goldrinn’s gift. For the rest without the gift nothing would change.
It’s something I requested a very long time ago too when it came to all the other wacky customizations players complained about that were coming out so that players could stop complaining about things that don’t even effect them and ruining it for the ones that do want it. Biggest example of this was being able to turn on and off the classic models. There was a point where you could run around with the jaggy classic player model or run around with the newer fancy retail model, but that option is now gone from the game. If there is a option that you are offended about for some weird reason, you should just be able to turn it off completely so that only you can’t see it.
The issue is yeah, why would you only do it to tails if it’s a actual physical change unlike the n’zoth’s gift where that had some actual lore implications to it on why some people could see it and some can’t. Plus there are also people that would like to see tailed worgens even thought they aren’t one themselves as seen in this thread.
The simple solution is just having a tail option so if you want it, you can have it, while those that don’t want it can run around tailess.
Oh I agree, I’m all for just giving optional tails, still there are those who seem to think that having to see Worgen with tails is going to completely destroy their game play. I was just thinking if it was something they didn’t have to see perhaps they wouldn’t be so vocal about not wanting it. personally I think Worgen should of always had the tail option, it makes them look so much better in my opinion.
Oddly, this why I could never play a blood elf. Not that I disagree with you about worgen animations, just that a good alternative for you was your elf.
I really hope Blizz changes their mind on no more customization in SL. A lot of races really need it.
Tails would be some work but it would be worth it. I still hate that we don’t have solid black fur. It would be so easy to make. Just darken the white fur texture and it’s done!
Tails are something that would give the worgen more personality to choose to wear. More options are better than fewer options.
I will continue to support tails as an optional customization, even if it never happens, because it is an improvement, among many others, that worgen needs.
And that sums up very eloquently, what we worgen need as customization options.
More options are better than fewer options.
Ask the nightbornes, if they don’t want more options and improvements.
Worgen also need improvements that highlight the theme of werewolves.
There is not just one type of werewolves.
The alliance needs some liking for one of the few more exotic races in the faction.
If it is necessary to remove the only race that is not monotonous and brings diversity in the alliance, so that worgen can have a less boring look, like yours, then send worgen to the horde.
There are many in the horde who wanted worgen to be a race of the red faction since the cataclysm.
It seems that everything interesting and that really has the potential to attract players to a faction is planned for the horde.
