I didn’t know that, about the racial thing.
I’ve had a female worgen dk for a few years and I did not play her much due to the ugly model… I also always hid the face. But now they actually look good and I’d love to customize them more! Tails, posture, more variation in furs and faces, and accessories for worgens would be great.
I really hope they get the options they deserve… Some of the others like nelfs and taurens have awesome options. Give worgens tails!!
Me gusta.
When you are in worgen form, your senses are expanded by 1000.
His vision becomes keener in the dark, his hearing becomes able to hear sounds more accurately, his sense of smell is able to perceive someone’s emotional state and follow a trail for miles, his touch and sense of balance become more accurate.
Your palate makes everything you eat have a more intense and refined taste. Be tastier.
His strength and vigor makes him a worthy adversary to a tauren.
His agility and speed makes him compete with that of the elves.
You feel physically good all the time.
Why would I want to stay in a limited, weak and slow form?
This curse gives me strength.
I’m fine being a worgen 100% of the time. That’s what I am now.
Of course it is very practical to be able to change size when necessary.
Viva la Tails!
It does indeed! As is the way of The Wolf Cult in worgen lore, those of Duskwood and Gilneas that see it as a blessing. But even they use human form to walk through the cities unnoticed. And besides, with hearing and smell increased tenfold, the loud and smelly city would be a horrid place to be in your true form. For Raedolf, the human form serves not only as a mask to hide his identity, but a way of dulling his senses when needed.
Source for duskwood worgen doing this pls. I’ve read all comics and I have never seen this in it.
Obligatory daily give worgen tails.
Fair. The Wolf Cult is confirmed to use shapeshifting in Curse of the Worgen, without the help of elves. In Dark Riders, it is confirmed that the Duskwood worgen are a branch of the Wolf Cult as well, serve Alpha Prime, and can visit the Lion’s Pride inn unnoticed.

~ they walk among us ~
Hello here to keep this thread relevant. But man reaching 2300 posts. Gj Caelus. Hope y’all had a nice discussion up above on what I think was about the comics
The curious thing is that in the comic Darkriders, it implies that these worgen have a greater degree of reasoning than those that served Alpha Prime and others shown within the game.
But then, even the wizard’s son acts in a much more controlled way, as if there was no need to go through the scythe of Elune ritual.
Just here with a cute hip bump for my support to give worgen tail options.
In Curse of the Worgen, Alpha Prime compliments the detective dude for being mentally strong enough to hold back the Worgen’s instincts. Didn’t think that willpower alone can make you shift back into the previous form outside of the ritual and other external forces
Well, maybe the Darkriders author didn’t know this or used creative freedom!
Or it’s a conspiracy of mages that are really good with polymorphing
Willpower alone, no, but we also see in the same comic that Genn was a worgen able to shapeshift, even having failed the Ritual of Balance. And cultists in Gilneas and Northrend have been able to shapeshift long before the ritual was invented.
The answer as to why may lie in exactly what the Ritual of Balance does. It appears first in the starter zone, and is seen again in Curse of the Worgen, and explained in detail in Wolfheart. The Ritual is not a cure, but rather a series of visions of your past, to help you get over the guilt, grudges, trauma, or other emotional strife that is preventing you from attaining balance between man and wolf as a worgen. Potentially, those that are able to do so on their own - like Genn or the cultists - do not need the Ritual of Balance.
Fun fact, some take the ritual, and it helps, like Halford Ramsey or Varian Wrynn. For others, facing those memories of their fears can actually turn them mindless, and they are put down by the Gilneans. You can read more details on the Ritual and its three parts on the wowpedia page here.

Seeing as in game Worgen can transform at will and only combat forces the transformation I can understand that comment.
I know about the visions and such already. For Genn specifically, the comic made it look like Belrysa was using the Light of Elune to pacify the curse before it took him over completely. If he did do all that, then them peeps who made the illustrations left out an important part
Do worgen have tails yet? Cuz they can’t have mine.
Also true, for some packs, mostly revolving around Arugal. The Moonrage pack of “worgen” were given cursed shackles, that transformed them into worgen every night after the sun set. He also used this enchantment on a forsaken, Apothecary Berard. When he was used by the Scourge, he used these polymorphs again in the Grizzly Hills, where there are some true worgen as well, but also those that he transforms with magic and that turn back to humans after death.

Right. Genn was bitten while hunting worgen for sport, described in Lord of His Pack. He would have transformed up to three days later. He was able to shapeshift and keep it a secret, using basic potions from his alchemist to keep calm. Belysra Starbreeze arrived about four days before the attack, before the rest of the elves, and helped with the potion while retelling the War of the Satyr to Genn. She also Genn calm with Elunic magic when needed so he would not shapeshift when angry.
You get it! 100%!
YES BOO
Whoa! I thought the worgen curse was meant to keep humans from being turned into forsaken. I guess it doesn’t work if you were forsaken first! That’s awesome.
