Give void elves/dwarves the ability to customize their racials

Lol we dont have to try to make you look like a bad guy.

Thats your faction identity!

Ugh, parts of this argument are getting to feel a bit
rp-y.

Difference is, I played this toon on Horde. High Elves were added to the Horde. That person cannot enjoy the game play of something that was never there, but is now being slowly added and more and more demanded.

Except that blood elves were never high elves. They were traitors to the high elves, and were drug addled murderers who followed another traitor. That IS the lore.

In a Story such as Alliance VS Horde. Who is the bad guy? Each side is trying to do what is best for itself and believes they are the good guy.

Purely for flavor. It helps people RP as that particular race without burning a race slot or forcing the devs to come up with and balance new racials.

But again I’ll make it clear this is not something I am asking for. It was just a flight of fancy that came to mind when I read the original post of this thread.

Yes, they were added to the Horde, because you really needed it. People didn’t like the way all the Horde races look like, because none of them were “pretty” in a sense.

Not saying no one wants to play an Orc or an Undead
 but you get the point.

Okay
 that’s not lore
That’s an interpretation of lore, but it’s not the really like the truth.

However, they weren’t added in like say a race of Void Elves. They were added with meaning and story.

brb, going for fresh air break

Fine Ima yeller anyway!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

My only issue is the worry that I have about taking focus off the actual race.

Like being able to rp a high elf using blood/void elf because of some extra character customization is fine, but at the end of the day I’m still going to side with the fact that they aren’t high elf races and the racials and themes of the class shouldn’t really reflect high elf stuff beyond that customization. If that makes sense.

Literally the horde are the bad guys
 BfA kinda cemented that.

Dude people who argue like they are actually on the Alliance/Horde are the most interesting people on this forum

The rabid tone these forums take to anything even remotely related to High Elves is getting embarrassing. Personally, I never cared about High Elves and I doubt I’ll be making much use of the natural skin options but they were added and that’s that. Accept it.

I think it makes sense to add some amount of racial customization to the races that have the option to appear as a sub-race. I mean, can’t Zandalari already choose from a set of racials? I’d throw in humans, trolls and maghar orcs. And maybe tauren? I don’t play horde but I think the player model can be from different tribes?

It is all but certain high elves will remain part of WoW lore, and generally speaking part of WoW lore that sides with the Alliance. Mechanognomes/gnomes dont necessarily step on each other toes and can and will continue to live side by side, the high elves/void elves will end doing the same.

Forum bias. Nothing new here, everyone here thinks they are serving some rightful answer.

Yes, this includes me.

This isn’t apples to oranges. Mechagnomes and gnomes are two seperate races that actually exist.

The WH and BB dwarves isn’t even a good comparison because Blizzard has stated that Dwarf race encompasses the two.

I like the new looks that let you rp as a helf.

But, You’re speculating based of your own interpretations. Until blizzard says something all we have is people asking for even more customization to make an existing race look more like a not existing (as a player character race) race that they actually want to play.

Also, I’ve never said anything about high elves not being a part of wow lore. Don’t put that on me. I just said they aren’t a playable race except for head canon until such time that blizzard writes them into a playable race or gives them one.

That’s something the devs would have to decide. Which race the devs focus on in game isn’t something we have any control over. It’s not something I believe we’ll ever have to be concerned with though. My little flight of fancy is not something I think the devs would ever actually do.

Feeling like you’re right is one thing, but arguing like your actually an alliance (or horde) member and attacking someone’s argument because they’re on the “other side” is wild.

I agree, but when you see threads like “Change void elf name and give em paladin” I can see why you’d get exasperated. xD
