Give void elves/dwarves the ability to customize their racials

It more like an inch was already given and now all I’m asking for is a centimetre.

A high elf does not need to have blond hair. And Blizzard themselves have said the blood elves are high elves.

The thing is 90% of High Elf supporters I talk to are happy with the VE change and cease posting. These clowns like OP don’t represent the whole Alli

I find the mindset to be almost like a type of greed - You want what you don’t have and what you have is never enough - Must always have more or something else.

You’re wanting an entire theme that they are based on shifted. That’s a mile.

If we want them so much, we should be willing to use allied race slots on them.

Allied race slots aren’t wasted unless nobody plays them, like mechagnomes.

At this point I expect both high elves and void elves will continue to be important parts of Alliance lore. If a person wants to pretend they are high elves instead of void elves they already have nearly every tool they want sans a change to a racial. Why not go the extra mile and be done with it? Same with the Wildhammers.

Allied races are a waste when a small amount of extra effort would give the same effect. Instead of spending development time creating a high elven/wildhammer allied races(which they can instead use to create a more unique race on), they could just use it and have the same effect spending less time on an existing race. It is call an “opportunity cost”.

And people wonder why void elf fans are worried that they may get shoved under a bus later on…

That is a pretty dumb concern especially considering both Alleria and Vereesa have always worked closely together. And I suspect Alleria will be part of some major lore in the future.

Alleria is still a void elf.

…you can have a glyph. I think that’s fair.

Also, of course you think it’s a dumb concern. It’s not your concern. Kinda selfish though. xD

No I think it is a dumb concern because I dont think it will ever happen. At this point you might as well worry that mechagnomes will be left under the bus by regular gnomes. Hell, those guys already share a leader.

I think Alleria considers herself to both be a void elf and a high elf. Nothing in lore says you can’t do that.

I think it’s a valid concern. So I guess we’re at a stalemate.

Have blizzard confirm in an official sense that the high elves joined the void elves and this is more than just an rp bone being thrown out, and I’ll take your side.

You can see both high elves and blood elves in Telargus rift learning about the void. I am not sure you can get any more official than that.

Sure you can. That’s still conjecture at the end of the day.

Blizzard came out and said wildhammer dwarves and bb dwarvews were represented under the dwarf race.

Until they do the same with void elves and high elves. It’s conjecture.

that is the end game that they wish for

Fair hair is part of the aesthetic of High Elves but with or without that option, Void Elves are still not High Elves. High Elves are untainted by Void; Void Elves are.

Void Elves are Void Elves. High Elves are High Elves. With the new Void Elf human skin colour customizations, players can choose to role play Void Elves as a High Elf but they are still a Void Elf, have Void Elf name and Void Elf racials and Void Elf class choices.

Odd. Because in the character creation menu it says: Blood Elf. And in game they are called Blood Elf. In fact, I seem to remember a whole thing about them changing their race name from High Elf to Blood Elf. And then becoming tainted with Fel. Unlike the High Elves that kept their race name, stayed loyal to the Alliance and did not become tainted by Fel.

See the difference? Yes? No?

Regardless, it is Alliance High Elves that are being asked for and Blood Elves do not fit that bill.

In that case, you don’t need customization of racials. Just make a regular light skinned, normal haired void elf like Alleria, and consider it a high elf as well. The racial can stay blue like it is on Alleria.

No. Void Elves are still Void Elves, regardless of what their skin color is. Their racials are void related and must stay that way.

You are wonderful. I just thought you should know that.

Alleria doesnt actually use any racial.

Fair hair CAN be an aesthetic of a high elf, but there are plenty of high elves who dont have light hair/closer hair coloring to void elves.

And Blizzard said otherwise, that there really isnt any difference between the blood elves and void elves. And considering void elves also blood elves, there is few if any distinguishing things differentiating the two. Heck, a shadow priest blood elf has probably been touched more by the void then a warrior void elf.

Thank you. Incidentally, I agree with you that a glyph would be okay.

They could call it, “glyph of the arcane void”, and it could change the proc from void blue to arcane blue, or something.

I’d rather have the regular Orc racials, but oh well.
