Give Void Elves Natural Hair Colors

Jokes on you, no I’m not. That has to be the stupidest rebuttal I’ve ever seen.

I think we’re fine deary. Let’s leave the natural colours for the Blood Elves.

Still looks like a Void Elf to me , but I like it

Edit: just posting the pic from the link from above, make it easier :+1:t4:

i am ok with the tinted hair remaining, and the non yellow glowy eyes
i do like the skin tint options, and i wouldnt mind having all hair styles shared

The most popular allied race is not a waste?

Her ritual of being a void elf is vastly different from how Void Elves came to be.

Basically remove all the void from void elves lol.

Love it.

And that’s how most void elves are going to be created from now on considering the fact that blizzard said they’re not doing the same ritual that was done to them.

Also I honestly don’t see the big deal. Personally I myself am not asking for them to rip blood elf hairstyles and colors from them, merely give us human hair colors and some new hairstyles that don’t look like they came off a Night Wish album cover. Also for every natural style we can also get a new voidy hairstyle. It’s a win win

Not as popular as they could of been.

Not as popular as they’re going to become now that they’re receiving the aesthetic they should of been from the start. :man_shrugging:

I don’t know if I like the word “popular”, but…

Popular does mean “requested”, right? If a lot of people play Void Elves because of the new skin (and hopefully hair!) tones, then… That means that customization option is satisfying a large portion of the playerbase, which… I think is a good thing. Yay! Players are getting to play what they want to play, and no one else has lost anything material because of it.

Really? All new void elves are going to have consumed the heart of a darkened Naaru? That’s how they’re all going to be created?

Popularity is subjective.

It’s true void elves were popular because they use the blood elf rig and were the closest Alliance players could get to the highly requested high elves.

Their popularity stems almost entirely off those two points and very little from their niche theme and their non-existent story.

What will be “popular” is moving them closer to the high elf aesthetic. If they reached their popularity peak as just a blood elf rig painted blue, they’ll rocket to popularity with the addition of the theme everyone wanted from the start.

I like their concept, and I like my Velf characters. But uh… Yeah, they’ve always felt like the “Alliance not-High Elves”. Even at the launch of BfA, my friends and I were thinking, “Certainly, this is how they give us High Elves! With some kind of two-forms worgen-thing, like Alleria.”

So, Velves are a cool concept, but definitely an avoidance of what was actually requested.

we already have a big megathread for void elf blood elf beef, this is spam.

So I went to the PTR last night and looked at the customisation options and compared blood elves to void elves.

I’m a big fan of the more muted hairs as they aren’t as strong.
Because the hair colours given were built on the basis of using a blue skin tone.

With the addition of the blood elf skin colours to void elves I found the dilemma of when using natural skin colours some of the hair colours was really overbearing. Which rather turned me off using some of the natural skin.

I don’t particularly think an import of the blood elf hairs for void elves would be the best bet. However what would be nice would be the option to have the hair colours of blood elves placed onto the existing void elf hairs.
So that void ponytail can be blonde and still be matted with the void to give a seudo-natural appearance to the elves.

I myself really want to use the blood elf death knight skins, but I find since the skin is a normal tone of pale it makes the hair more blue on comparison which isn’t what I want. I want a very pale and muted look.

We are also missing the ear size options as void elves.
Overall the eye changes are my favourite but the amount of options is overshined by just how fantastic blood elves are.

These look good! I just feel bad for the blood elves they didnt get much. I do hope they are getting more horde exclusive stuff down the line. Lorewise it makes sense to get the other haircolors. Blood elves should be able to use the purple eye color void elves have to or other similar colors.

I do hope we end up getting Sanlayn, Undead, fel, and or holy customizations down the line to further distinguish us from void elves.

Blood elves seriously need dark ranger customization options. I get it, right now, in the story, it’s a bad time for Dark Rangers, but c’mon! That’s up there too.

A Velf with natural colors is a Belf, a Belf is a slightly pointy human, 9/10 Alliance players pick human already.
No thanks, the Alliance doesn’t need more humans.

Or an Alliance-aligned High Elf
