This is exactly why a lot of the people I used to argue with a lot on these threads get along with me now. Lol.

I would say it’s about as much as people try to paint others as being awful or “petty” because they don’t support additional options bringing the VE theme even closer to what’s left of BE uniqueness.
Both don’t contribute all that much but at least this one isn’t a constant attack on people’s character over differences of opinions over Elves.

It’s still a legitimate point of view and opinion, so I don’t discredit it or anyone that says it even if it’s 1000 times I won’t hold it against them because I can understand and I can accept why they think or feel that way.

To be fair, that’s probably only because the “give an inchers” aren’t sticking around long enough to engage in personal attacks.

If the goal is “Hey Blizz, let us make Void Elves not look at all like Void Elves, let us make them look exactly like the High Elves we didn’t get.” then yes - people opposed to that and complaining about incrementally “giving them and inch” toward that goal are indeed making a legitimate point.
It doesn’t have to be a point that High Elf fans trying to push Velfs into that look have to like in order for it to be legitimate.

LMFAO! I missed you posting this reply but in your case I can vouch for how many people have called you petty in these threads, like daily if not multiple times daily for trying to safeguard Blood Elves and Blood Elf customizations, it’s laughable. Lol.

It’s anyone that doesn’t support more HE options on VEs getting called petty, or selfish. As if the HE request isn’t also very much that.

Yes. But when someone only comes into the thread to say “Give them an inch…” then vanish, I can’t help but thinking they’re not here to actually oppose anything and are basically just going “you’re selfish!” That doesn’t help anything.

I think we all understood the the incremental changes were just going to be ice on an already slippery slope.

let’s not forget the multiple attempts at guilt tripping others with the good ol’ “Why do you want players to lack options?”.
It’s fun to turn that around with “Why do you want players to lose their uniqueness”… I can almost smell the smoke from the gears grinding all the way from my country when that’s mentioned.

I tend to label people selfish if they are one sided to the extreme, like for example I can understand anyone wanting more options but for example if I’m debating Void Elves getting customizations from Blood Elves and Nightborne getting them from Night Elves and someone says but you can’t do that, then we have an issue.

Fair enough - but given the history, the evolution, of requests from the day Void Elves were announced with the very specific intent of making them as indistinguishable from High Elves as possible I think saying “look what happened when Blizz gave that first inch.” is also fair.
