Night elves got the eyes 2 patches later and they had to be unlocked.
I would have been perfectly happy to wait the two patches for golden eyes if there had been a big narrative event where they were explained as part of a religious order formed by a major character becoming a demigod.
We could argue about that as much as we want, bottom line, most races made out poorly and even the two who made out best still have holes.
Absolutely, the thing that still gets me is the new shades of green for orcs. Who looked at orcs and said, “You know what they need? Three more shades of green”? You could literally get rid of half of them and not even dedicated orc stans would notice.
Why in the eternal power of Zeus did they not just add the Dragonmaw, Blackrock and either fel orc or cultist tones? It would have been less effort. Do they have donkey brain?
It’s also coming in context of the fact BEs have already shared with VEs, VEs don’t have a monopoly on Farstrider tattoos.
You can’t use that as an extra argument to continue to chip away at the last of BE uniqueness. Like “see you want Farstrider tattoos!” Okay yeah that’s a BE thing and?
What’s gross is this comes from the people who are supposedly all about sharing yet have yet to share anything and somehow because of a second visual theme feel entitled to aspects of that theme which is BEs main visual theme, and take it even further by not only feeling entitled to aspects of it now but feel they alone hold exclusivity over its elements like Farstrider tattoos.
That is what’s less than admirable, drawing a line in the sand and defending what’s left of BE visual uniueness is a whole other topic that I’m sure people would love to latch or tack on to as if it’s the same concept but it’s not, literally apples and oranges.
If you want an echo chamber the forums aren’t that.
We’ve got elves whose eyes turned glowing green color from binging on Fel who can look normal now. Why wouldn’t void elves have the same option?
Personally, though, I just want the Chinstrap beard and variable ear length. Done.
But we arent taking the blood elf style, we are taking the high elf style. High elves are on the alliance and blood elves and high elves are coming to the void elf starting zone to train in the void and join the void elves. They cant be made purple because what happened to umbric and the original void elves cant be redone so they are just trained in the void while looking the same. Remember this high elves are from the warcraft rts games if anything we are taking their theme.
Well, Blood Elves, who never took on fel but rather were just affected by being around it, had their eyes turn green only temporarily. The Sunwell being reignited with 50/50 Arcane and Holy energies always meant their eyes would return to blue… or go gold in time.
Void Elves so far do not have any lore explanation to actually explain why they would be able to have regular skin tones. We can make assumptions and claim this or that based on this or that, but we really don’t have any lore to back it up.
Its not a apples to apples comparison. The Lore is different between the two.
More beards across the board would be nice, and I do support Ear Length sliders for Void Elves.
You can stop your argument right there.
Blood Elves are High Elves. Their styles haven’t changed. They have a minor political difference more than anything.
We don’t have any actual lore to support this.
If you take into account the Void Elf teacher teaching new Void Elves on the next island over with the Scholars and Wayfarers, we actually have just as much evidence to suggest that any new void elves are in fact turning blueberry as we do that they would not.
Until blizzard actually gives us information on the process by which Void Elves create more of their kind, we are just throwing darts in the dark.
Blood Elves are those elves.
Void elves should get the High elf hair colours, sure, and high elf style jewlery, all blue and silvers etc, infact even get yourselves a toggle option to have void effects or arcane effects, let you guys have fully playable high elves, they were a core alliance race and everyone knowes it, they should have been alliance in burning crucade.
But, what’s done is done and at the same time, you ahve to remember Blood elves are part of the horde. So before you guys get all your fancy High elf allied race customisations, how about us blood elves actually get some customisations that match up to what other races just got, I mean come on, all us blood elf men got were a few hairs and beards, nothing even that different to what was allready there. Give us blood elves jewlery, piercings, scars, warpaints. Let US stand out first, then allied races can have their turn.
Play nice girls.
I think it will be nice if the Void elves share some Hairstyles or Hair colors with LF Draenei or Nightborne.
Yes i would like this possibility.
No one said that only the void elves have to get more costumisation options . The void elves have 7-8 hair colors … How many have the Blood elves ?
Too many. They have all the natural colors. While we get stuck with like 4 that do not fill the fantasy.
Which one is a core race and which one is an AR again? Do remind us.
Which one has 2 visual themes and which one only has 1?
Rofl
The blood elves have the Sin’dorei theme and High elf too. You get blue eyes too .
With dark skin and Green eyes you have the wretched theme too …
You’re equating an eye color to an entire visual theme?
You’re equating the new skin tone diversity to Wretched options? Yikes.
What is being talked about is BEs having the regular Thalassian Elf theme visuals, and VEs having the Void, now you have both in a very heavily skewed in your favor compromise and you’re trying to get the bits and pieces left, that is in no way fair to BE fans at all.
So dramatic. Can you be a less Blood elf and more human … it’s ridiculous
