Give us fresh servers starting with each patch in order by order again, all these other servers are hyper inflated.

Yeah, the HC servers are just more Era servers at the last phase.

I wonder if thet are intentionally gatekeeping new server for Era because they want to milk the cow dry for HC first? They saw the potential for HC, they made it, and if they were to make fresh normal Era servers now, then probably more than half of the HC players online rn will flock over to the new normal servers - along with a majority of the Era servers.

Those who stick with Wrath will more than likely stick with it till the end, and probably move on to CataClassic (if that’s still a thing), and Blizzard probably sees more potential with seasonal servers with some changes since it’s the beginning of what Classic+ could be, but small enough for their skeleton crew to work on over time.

HC is another thing to tie players down for awhile till Blizzard can release more proof of concepts for Classic+. Or, if they really can’t make a good Classic+, just release fresh servers as a final one and done for Era.

I cannot predict Blizzard at this point. HC just came out, so I doubt we will hear news about fresh Era realms anytime soon.

you already got fresh servers. hardcore :expressionless:

of course. there is no doubt. :expressionless:

I see what you mean, at the same time, there is a larger base of casual classic players that would much rather see some freshness rather then just hardcore.

These aren’t fresh servers. They are new end-phase servers. There is a difference, and it’s particularly starting from Phase 1 versus not.

They probably know this, but want to just get HC done and out of the way. It was an easy thing to make for Blizzard, so they could just use it to keep everyone satisfied for now till they can make something else.

Problem is they’re too slow.

I was interested in HC months ago, now I went in with less interest, got butchered at level 19 by someone’s mobs reaggroing to me, and just don’t feel like committing more time. I do however feel like playing fresh.

By the time they release fresh, I’ll have something else to do and won’t be interested in that anymore.

They could release it tommorow pretty much, but they got some weird schedule where they monitor engagement and when retail or wrath is doing poorly they’ll do fresh.

OK… Question… What are you going to do when its on the Same Battlegroup as your existing servers?

They’re not gonna release fresh or som2 until there’s some break in The development cycle where they need to retain or pad sub numbers for corporate finance reports. Like when Dragonflight is petering out but the next expansion isn’t out yet. 2024, stay tuned

Wait for it to get hyper-inflated, then proceed to stop playing after getting fully maxed gear, and want fresh servers again.

I really wanted to give HC my best honest go, but it doesnt feel the same. What it feels like is a cartoon where I have the looming impending anvil strung up above my head where any wrong move and it’s all over. I cannot reallt invest anything into a character and actually enjoy the game. I don’t want to have to relearn a whole new way to play the game, as well as spend $50 for the newest RestedXP HC guide just to survive, to experienve the new fresh. HC is just not for me. I would be so much more hype for fresh Era with peogressive patches once again.

Sure, it will be just like 2019 Classic, wirh bots, and GDKPs, but I am willing to overlook that.

I did enjoy that element that I’m playing carefully, but honestly, 1 life isn’t my thing.

I died in some bs way by some other player’s 3 mobs aggroing on me and frostbolting me to death, despite being careful for 19 levels.

I woulda done something like 24 hour ress sickness or some kind of punishment from dying, but starting for scratch just doesn’t work for me with classic, it’s very time consuming, don’t want to spend all free time leveling a character that’ll just die to some random thing I can’t affect. Friend died to server going offline, also bs way. Most deaths are like that I guess.

And they can deal with bots and gdkps, they just don’t want to. Idk, I feel like they’re putting in minimal effort. It’s disappointing to see something that could keep players engaged for months/years, being treated like side project that’s released and not moderated or looked over.

Oh, I am 100% certain they cannot handle the GDKPs and bots because 1. It already has such a huge influence on their game that if they were even able to say, “No GDKPs,” there goes half of their player base, and 2. With how limited the Classic team already is right now, they are probably unable to handle the millions of service tickets. The ban waves are from an algorithm designed by the patterns of bots and gold transactions. Those dumb bots are weeded out almost immediately, but with how sophisticated bots are now, those ban waves have having more false positives and banning real players rather than bots. They would need a full staff to scan and ban each and every single bot on a constant basis, and I seriously doubt that if Activision Blizzard can’t/won’t hire a proper HR for their company, they won’t hire a few hundred grunts to do the service ticket work.

Those are my thoughts.

Well, there’s another option.

Verify with ID or phone number to play.

You already pay for sub and provide your information, and use phone app.

I don’t think that can help the GDKP issues, and probably will be spoofable by bots at some point. I don’t think it’s a bad idea, just not the bestest solution to such an overwhelming problem. If they could, they should just have dedicated admins manage the game on a constant basis (and get paid for it, please) to keep the game clean of GDKPs. If they were to automate anything, they would need to find a way to log gold transactions between characters and mail, the AH economy, and movement patterns of players/bots. They could probably make an algorithm based on that to better weed out bots and GDKP guilds. That being said tho, I have a feeling they don’t want to remove that giant tumor from the game - as if the growth as already damaged the whole game to such a degree where removing it all would probably kill the mood for a good portion of the player base. I could be wrong about that, tho. Maybe it would save the game - it’s just so much to call for sure.

I don’t think GDKPs are a problem if there’s no mass gold buying from bots that farm gold 24/7.

I have no problem with players trading gold, even people buying mage boosts was whatever. The problem is 20 bots farming raw gold and inserting it into the economy, for days. We can all see them in /who, a single blizzard employee could check this obviously suspicious activity. This isn’t some incredible algorithms and intricate bots that have AI, they are so obvious and they don’t get banned for too long.

It really boils down to blizzard not wanting to pay human employees to moderate. They want to save on every possible crevice while CEO takes 78k dollars an hour.

Yup.

So… Unless Microsoft will be willing to do something about it, this might just be the norm for now on. I pray that there is in fact a God and that someone will do something about all this right.
