Give us duall spec on the new servers. Please...OR at least reduced costs of respec

I already broke your reasons down to generalization, and meaningless banter. :expressionless:

Sorry other players not being gimped by their spec removes a lof the classic energy for you? You don’t even have to buy the dual spec yourself. And if you happen to find yourself in PVP (sounds unlikely) vs someone that is in a pvp spec, it makes no difference to your gameplay if they got there with 100g for that week or 1000g upfront cost.

Other players being able to dual spec being a 100% deal breaker for you is wild imo. Why do you care so much about other players’ gold costs haha.

Some of those points from the linked post are relevant but I argue if they are good or not.

  • I would argue not having to level a 2nd alt just for gold farming is probably a positive thing.
  • I don’t think it will make a difference to PVP vs PVE servers, PVPers will PVP and PVErs will PVE.
  • Hybrid classes can still play their hybrid spec, they can even save the 1000g on dual spec if they want to, or can have raid spec and the dungeon/wpvp spec you mention.
  • What is that dude soloing on his pally? Strat maybe? But if hes doing that making 100g an hour then hes just paying the respec cost anyway. I don’t see what scenario this actually happens.
  • People play PVP spec for PVP and PVE spec for PVE… we are just talking about the cost associated with it hahaha. This talks like people can’t currently play appropriate specs for the content wtf.
  • Most PVE players won’t ever hit 1000g worth of respecs on a character. Having 1000g dual spec that PVErs also buy is likely a bigger overall gold sink than the normal respec system.

if you’re out farming in your pve spec and notice a player enemy in the distance, why do you feel entitled to be able to switch to your pvp spec? :expressionless: that’s simply not how it works in vanilla classic.

Well for 80% of classes, that’s not an option because you won’t want to PVP with 0 mana. This really isn’t the use case for dual spec at all. Also add the restriction that you can only change dual spec while in a main city or inn, easy solution for your made up issue.

Now lets apply some basic Logic to every reason the very very few #nochanges no dual spec have offered thus far.

Wrong, some classes are way better at farming despite what you spec into. Im not going to solo Farm Dire Maul on a Warrior no matter what Spec I am in, Im getting a Mage.

First off the vast majority of players play on PvP servers anyways, and second those who don’t like PvP are not going to swap over just because now you can Dual Spec. They don’t like PvP and that why they’re on PvE in the first place.

Wrong again, that Hybrid PvE/PvP spec still has its place out in the World where you have to fight just to get into dungeons but you also need to Quest a little as well. I tend to play and willa lways pretty much play a Demo/Sacrifice spec as I level a Warlock because it is good enough for PvE and great for PvP too. Will I top the meters versus and Aff lock in the dungeon? No, but Im doing damage and Im not here to parse a 5 man dungeon as I level up to 60.

I literally Play a Shaman who Tanks/DPS/Heals throughout my entire Journey, and Dual Spec the way it usually works is that you have to actually pay for it before you can use it which is typically pretty expensive. Which in layman’s terms means people will be getting dual spec around the same time that Specs begin to matter in Dungeons. Such as when I get to about level 54 and am running BRD and am not Resto but am healing, then I can feel the difficulty is rough. Everyone still needs your help throughout the vast majority of the leveling process.

Nah, sorry but thats a retail thing usually and Classic simply doesnt struggle with this as much until you get into raiding because the raid lead requires something like Improved Totems from one shaman, and the other needs to be deep resto etc. This bring me right back to how Classic is played, the vast majority of the leveling process anyone who has more than one role can essentially already do those roles until most of the game is finished already, which is when you would get Dual Spec (late game and when you could actually afford to buy Dual Spec)

You know whats a substantial gold sink? Raiding with full consumes, and pushing content. Thank you for bringing this up because I am a Dad, and I am here to casually raid and I don’t want to be farming Gold more rather than less if at all possible, just because I wanna Raid one night and PvP the other.

Here is another one for you. Argue with this one.

It was implemented originally in 2009.

I would love dual spec, but it is probably not going to happen. Maybe if people keep asking for it; I just don’t think it will happen.

This kind of attitude is exactly what we were hearing pre-Classic; saying we would never get Classic-type servers. Such low quality and low value. Seriously, you need professional help.
