I used to argue against the TBC dual spec people on these forums… but I don’t care anymore. All I care about is that TBC ends as an Era server this time and we won’t be forced into Wrath again.
Blizzard can make all the changes they want, as long as it is permanent TBC.
He’s a low effort troll. Us vs them rhetoric is almost always intended to enflame arguments. I 'd just ignore him and move on, wasting time on people like this is rarely worth the effort.

Ah yes, swapping talents on the fly instead of hearthing back to town and manually resetting talents and then getting summoned back to what you were doing. What a thrilling and massive change of gameplay
I think a pretty reasonable compromise is to incorporate dual spec without being able to switch on the fly, just reduce the cost. Still have to make a point to go and do it but you don’t have to spend 50g every time you do it.
yes, in one case, specs barely mean anything because people are constantly swapping them. in the other, what you choose as your spec matters more, because you can’t always count on being able to teleport to a trainer and having people around to summon you in vanilla classic, specs matter. deal with it.

No it doesn’t, because you can swap your spec at any time. It’s just a difference of being able to do it on the spot and get right back to playing, or having to take a detour back to town to do it
I have a good compromise solution You can have dual spec, but switching specs requires visiting a trainer, and the cost for this service requires 1g at first and then increments slowly to a cap of 50g.
Please give me one good reason why it’s a bad idea. Having to either bg in raid spec or spend 50 g 2 times per week is an insanely tough decision for 95% + of the playerbase. Like most people said, classic is at it’s core also a leveling experience, and I’d much rather spend it leveling alts than farm gold for respec on top of the consume, or suffer through bg with a raid spec. Even people who has to tank one week, or sub as a heal will benefit greatly. Dual spec just means you are “locked” to 2 specs, so spec still matters?
I think we should all be able to agree on lower costs such as 5G cap.
if you can’t stand to play vanilla without constantly switching specs, maybe classic WoW anniversary edition classic fresh is not for you
