Decided to buy a race change, stuck on give us a moment screen in the checkout
That usually means that something is blocking the site. Usually this means security or anti-virus software blocking things in the background.
Try temporarily disabling those and see if it will go through.

seems ive already been charged but unsure if I am safe to close window
Also not the case since it’s using the ingame store.
Both anti-virus and security software still block data being sent to and from the web, even if you’re using the in-game store.

but I dont use any since I don’t venture to sites I don’t know and trust.
If you’re running windows, you might still be using windows defender without even knowing it.
Simply put, that black screen indicates that something on your system is getting in the way of it completing.

Security software is indeed the #1 cause we see. This can also sometimes be cause by other conflicting software, especially software that uses overlays - like discord.

there wasnt a black screen. it just hung on the page. I closed and relogged and it was there.
Check your transactions and see if it went through. Otherwise you’ll need to try Selective Startup.
Like my last comment, after relogging it was all there and fine.
Same issue here. I disabled the firewall for my machine and ‘public networks’. I exited the 'give us a moment screen and tried to run the transaction again but they told me it’s pending 'might take several minutes. Try again in ah hour or two I guess?
