I like the idea of giving a class more depth. It would be cool to see a 4th specialization or make enhancement into a tank. Hybrid classes are the coolest in my opinion. I like options~ In the end though I hope the devs get the needed resources to work on Shaman to help players enjoy the class fantasy and playstyle.

I don’t like the idea. It’s like shaman have millions of problems. Solution? We gonna make tank spec and make other specs unplayable. Mark my words I’m a far-seer

Like I said earlier, I believe that if a tank spec is added, more attention would be needed towards the class, which would then naturally help fix some of the problems you might be seeing. It’s a win-win

Enhance = tank instead of DPS? No. Never.

Enhance - air
Ele - fire
Resto - water

I’m no genius, but how would adding a tank spec keep blizzard from tuning the other specs of Shaman? It seems like all blizzard would have to do is tune the DPS specs for them to be “top damage”. I’m sure there’s more to it than just changing numbers though.

Words been going around from other sources, specifically forum leaks and two youtubers that there’s a leak that mentions there being a tank spec but for pure dpeses, and also seems to imply something with hunters and warlocks.

Maybe trying to address pure DPS classes being pigeon holed into one role?
Hunters and Locks already have pets that act as tanks so maybe Blizzard is doubling down on that and making pet tanking specs?

What’s funny with that picture, is that there’s a leak somewhere in MMOC that describes hunter tanks as that with limited taming.

Would love to see a shaman tank spec, 2h weapon with the focus being using earth spells and totems. Like a combination of blood dk’s self-healing with water spells and brewmaster dmg mitigation with earth spells and totems. Blizz, please make this happen!

If we have to change one I hope that Elemental becomes a tank spec. We can just chain lightning to aoe pull threat and have a shield. Elemental casting spells to tank with sounds like it could be neat and Blizzard can still dump on Enhancement for a while.
I would totally be on board with a two handed tank spec focused on the earth element.
It could be pretty cool to split up the play style between a pet tank style with controlling the earth elemental and a play style without the elemental and just being down the two handed hammer (could also rip off some swtor animations with ripping chunks of rocks and throwing them at people)
