Mana based on healing received, too!
I tanked the 10 mans, and some end game instances on my pally during Classic, but they are definitely much, much better healers than DPS or tanks.
I’m not sure that a taunt would make that much of a difference tbh, but sure I’d welcome that change.

I just think such a change would be unfair to warriors, making Pallys the preferred tanks for dungeons. Warrior tanks would basically only be good for raid bosses.
If Blizz gave pallys a taunt, then warrior aoe threat should be buffed.
I definitely think ret needs to be buffed tho.
people will take any tank they can get for dungeons and dungeons stop mattering much after p1/p2
idk… I mean yes, obviously it would have its benefits, but leveling dungeons are not so bad with RF and Consecration. Strat and Scholo aren’t bad either, with all the extra dmg to UD, but the real issues, imo are that warriors, regardless of spec are so much tankier, while Paladins really need to get at least BoS.
Maybe having a taunt would actually prove useful for raiding. Anyway, I’m not against it at all; I’m just curious how it would change things.

They already can be. If they were given a taunt equivalent to what warriors have, that’s what? Melee range, single target 1 min CD. Is that really going to make that big of a difference for trash? (maybe, but

Yeah, I guess especially if you’re holding AoE threat, but doing single target DPS, you can just taunt your main target if someone pulls it.
It would be interesting to see how pally tanking would be in Classic content with the addition of a taunt.
I’d imagine for raids, mana would be an issue, esp. and fights without WBs are going to be longer. Could be a fun experiment at least though.
