Give outlaw rogues, a type of pet!

Just my quick two cents, I believe outlaw road should have some type of pet. Outlaw rogue being pirate-themed, should have a pet as most pirates usually have some type of animal companion. I think it would be a cool addition to an already unique class. Obviously not have it compare to a hunter’s pet on the same level. But it’ll be fun to have another ability in our tool kit. And then make only certain pets tameable, such as bats, rodents, birds of prey, monkeys, etc… Let me know what y’all think you other outlaw rogues out there! Have fun y’all, I’ll see you out there.

The only way I can see this happening is if Blizzard make it a static pet, similar to the Eagle that Hunters (refuse to use) now. Otherwise, the Rogue would just become a Hunter.

We could call for Smee like Captain Hook!

Overall its better than your idea.

No having pets is becoming a plague to the game. Way too much visual clutter from ww, bm, and demo and dk the way it is

Agree to disagree, especially since you’ve provided zero productive ideas.

I guess if we can’t get rid of this pirate theme, I wouldn’t be against abilities that had pet themes, like a parrot that swoops down and poops on people or something, but it shouldn’t be like a hunter pet.

Pets on rogue will never work. If you need a pet so bad play hunter, monk, lock,or death knight

As far as I know there might be (- or was?) a set that will summon a swashbuckler to blast someone for you with their blunderbuss? I don’t agree that we need a permanent ‘pet’. It’d annoy me to death.

This may have been from a usermade theorycrafting post (if it wasn’t datamining) from quite a long time ago.

Remember when we could bribe things for a short time. That was occasionally fun.

I’m not sure about having a pet, but I’d sure love having an untaxed brez and/or lust ability. Whew!

Remove Roll the Bones. Replace with:

Uneven the Odds - Call 1 to 3 Brigands to assist you in combat for 20 seconds. Your Brigands gain Stealth when you gain Stealth.
25 Energy. Instant. 45 second cd.

Initiation - When you consume a stack of Opportunity you have a 35% chance to call a Brigand to assist you in combat for 6 seconds.

Den of Thieves - Reset the duration of your active Brigands and summon 2 additional Brigands for 20 seconds. You and your Brigands gain 1% increased damage for each of your active Brigands for the duration. Instant. 3 min cd.

I approve! :+1:

Gives Tavern Brawler vibes too!

What pirate has been documented having a pet? PoTC is not proof

They have parrots. They have a crew. You are taking the term pet too literally. It doesnt have to a an entity whos every movement you can control. Sub literally spawns shadows to stab people. Monk has spirits. DKs can spawn a whole army complete with lieutenants and generals.

Outlaw having the ability to just spawn a crew and jump people is actually really thematic

bring back combat and the fantasy was cooler

Y’know what would be nice? Permanent Shadow Copies that attack the same target! It would fulfill the class fantasy better than Secret Technique, me thinks!

give us our own personal mook/stooge to boss around

No ty. Secret Technique is the singular most satisfying ability to press across all 3 specs. I don’t know why you insist on destroying Sub, any “permanent” ability is not thematic for the spec meant to fit the majority of its damage into short windows.

Agree to disagree. Honestly, ‘destroying’ is a matter of opinion. My opinion: Sub is a bad spec to play currently. Not truly fulfilling.

Secret Technique is the worst ability of all. You barely get a glimpse of the Shadows that attack your target. Extremely disappointing.
