Give DK better physical mitigation in PvP

No one said its the only way to mitigate damage. it heals you. damage reduction is mitigation. we only have one with wall against melee. Every one of your 15k post is you arguing with someone or providing an opinion with zero experience. u must have forum notififcations on because you show up instantly. get a life man

You are acting like it. This thread is titled physical mitigation, you brought up armor and Death Strike.

I for one agree, Give DKs some nice chunky survivability and damage buffs.

We’re supposed to be a Hero Class, Make us feel like it, dang it.

So what was wrong with the first post I made? I asked a question of why people think Death Strike is or has to be the only survivability the DK has which thats all people talk about on the forums so its a valid question, its not mitigation as this thread tries to put forward trying to talk about physical mitigation yet not talking about actually improving physical mitigation, and then I listed actual mitigation options that people should be pointing to even suggesting Rune Tap which is a % damage reduction and putting it in the class tree instead of the blood tree.

The response to that was “DS is nerfed in pvp” and then a bunch of excuses as to why mitigation shouldnt be talked about because its either the only physical mitigation or magic mitigation.

I responded with “so dk is doomed, stop playing it” and pointed out the excuses being made so nothing is going to get better.

What was the response to that? 15k posts belittling people which I didnt belittle anyone.

So care to explain what I did wrong? And you probably wont be able to again.

Blizard is not a fan of inate or passive mitigation . Think they have made that super clear in the last few patches sadly .

I couldn’t respect your opinion more, however, the amount of nerfing that would have to happen to get other classes to Unholy’s level would be unprecedented levels of nerf-tuning. Even if the other damage dealers got on ‘our’ output level, you’d then have to rebalance healers.

Long story short – you have to bring us up, not everyone else down.

100% truths LOL!! i dont think all the other classes are too strong , we are just kind of weak

I haven’t played enough games to have a concrete opinion on that but so far all the matches I’ve lost were double physical dam or almost any game v a hunter. I’ve been doing fine against caster dps (not saying they’re a hard counter but it seems fair).

Dont say I dont understand something when you completely missed the entire point of my post and didnt answer a single thing asked within it.

Your PoV is not hard to understand, dont know how casters are having more armor than you unless its pvp specific because my warlock has less armor and physical damage reduction than my DK, and Death Strike has no place in talking about mitigation.

Again why ignore that I brought up Rune Tap being a class talent instead of a blood one? Its 4 seconds of 25% damage reduction. Also people have been talking about DS being nerfed since early Dragonflight and then you had Rextroy not doing the Rextroy stuff survive with Death Strike doing a 5v1 duel style which are 1v1’s back to back. This was after the nerfs and he was still healing a whole lot of damage beating all 5 players.

All that petkick said was Dk is squishy into certain things, which he is saying are overpowered and needs to be toned down. Seen just about any class / spec be bursted down in a few seconds so its not a DK only thing.

You dont even have TWW…you really just a troll on the forums. Good bye.

I don’t think unholy needs any damage buffs at all however i do like acid’s idea of making imp death strike baseline and moving bloodforged armor into the general tree. I am not actually sure how much this would fix current issues but it’s a start

Bone shield was an Unholy talent.

Another thing I dont really understand is DK stat values. Like casters can ignore mastery and stack straight haste. But because our globals and slower than every other class we need to stack haste which takes away from our mastery to increase basically all of our damage. not to mention needing vers too. I really wish theyd bring back Unholy Presence

Unholy presence would definitely help in physical damage reduction in that we would get our speed buff back and help out with kiting the pure melee specs and being able to dead zone kite Arms and Fury warriors.

So what? Guess if you dont do something then you cant have knowledge about something for some backwards logic reasoning.

Because different classes are different with different masteries.

Having knowledge of stuff is one thing but not having any kind of experience to back it up is a problem indeed. The reason “you don’t even play the game” keeps coming up is precisely because it matters to some degree or another. It’s easy to Google stuff but only doing that won’t down mythic bosses/gain pvp rating etc.

When looking for advice on PvE I’ll look at the guides/videos/discord given by the people who play the game at that level because experience. Same goes for pvp. It’s a simple concept that you gloss over and dismiss every time because you can not back up as much as you run your mouth.

Tldr: if you talk as much as you do, bring the exp to back it up.

It would be nice if they extended Blood Forged Armors duration as well. Doesn’t feel good to have your biggest damage shut down because Death Strike competes for the same resources.
