I mean, after Legion, it wouldn’t matter much if they added a Frostmourne mog. Ashbringer is just as iconic.
But what I want really is more swords designed like Frostmourne. Not 3ft wide, 5in thick slabs of metal. Start making better swords and daggers in general.

I mean, pre-Legion, it would have been stupid to ask for it. It’s a unique thing that doesn’t make sense in players’ hands.
But Legion gave everyone an Ashbringer. They’re also making Sylvanas cosplay armor. Restricting it now is pointless.

Reminder that the best idea i have read about it is an npc fishing up random weapons at the DMF complaining they just want 4 more fish to complete the quest!

Would be a great reward for a pinnacle “mage tower” challenge.
Well the trading post is the only way y’all are getting it and everyone should get it as well because of that. You aren’t getting a quest chain for an old item just for a transmog.
Screw it, I don’t mind sharing Frostmourne with other classes. Just let us have it. Exclusivity really only breeds tribalistic idiocy

I certainly wouldn’t create a thread on the forums whining about how hard done by I am, that a weapon that was obliterated further back in real time then the period of time when it nominally existed.
Doesn’t even need a grand new questline, just make it work the same as it did for Demon Hunters with glaives and it’s fine.
- Complete Shadowmourne and its associated questline.
- Complete Ulduar Timewalking.
- Transmoggable appearance is unlocked for DKs on the account.
EZ clap, problem solved.

And now they are only moggable by DHs, its a pretty straightforward point the OP makes.
In the second point you make, any paladin running around with Ashbringer mog or shaman with Doomhammer mog arent using the actual weapon either, as they were rendered innefective at the end of Legion. Wouldn’t be much of a different concept at all for DKs to use the appearance of Frostmourne

My point is that they should be a mog for anyone who can wield a sword since DH wouldn’t even be a thing until like 5 expansions later.
Except it wouldn’t be frostmourne because that weapon was functionally destroyed during patch 3.3 by Tirion fordragon.
As such the new weapon (which we’ll call fauxmourne) has no actual ties to the DKs and as such be viable for any class.
I think the issue here is the belief that only the Primus can make a mourneblade. We know that isn’t true: we mere mortals made Shadowmourne, and that was before running around Maldraxxus making a runeblade (not that that was a challenge for DKs anyways) and then running all over Shadowlands (in particularly Zereth Mortis) figuring out Domination magic and how it works so we can figure out how to resist it. Realistically, the Primus does not actually have to be involved, it wouldn’t be unreasonable for Blizzard to decide the Deathlord has the necessary knowledge already.
