The Sunfury, they were loyal to Kael’thas until he attacked Silvermoon. They chose their people above their prince.
In a short story it was also stated that the Survivors of Kael’thas followers rejoined Silvermoon.
So despite what a lot of people say it is possible that some Felblood Elves are part of Silvermoon.
None of that has anything to do with tattoos.
They aren’t the same as they where in WC2. That’s a retcon.
Or do you see any Lumber Mills that look like Celtic Longhouses?
Except they didn’t deside they made sense, they just added them because people wanted them.
My entire thing was that there was no lore at all to have them be added. And there wasn’t. I didn’t care if they got them and I don’t care now lol
Still waiting to see if they ad some lore on the subject.
And they also decided that Human Skin Colors weren’t an important thing for Blood Elves. So in the end it only helped my cause if you want to play that game
Hair colors are next.
Then what the heck does this entire thing show about you? lol
Should I start suspecting you of trying to steal Void Elf themes before they get added or something or that the only reason you wanted blue eyes was to quiet the High Elf request? lol
Really now.
Night Elves.
Also Tauren Warpaint and Troll Warpaint and Forsaken Head Straps and Wildhammer NPCs and Human/Elf Cultist NPCs.
They always could put marks on characters. Sometimes as shirts like for Dragonmaw.
They where based off of Real World Cultures.
They changed the ones the Elves where based off of in WC2.
Except there’s no evidence of Ranger Tattoo toos after WC2. They changed the design of High Elves so they didn’t have those anymore.
Alleria does
No reason they can’t now. They did start following her after all.
All that salt lol
At least it got some new skins for Void Elves
-
Alleria is a Void Elf and their leader.
-
There are no “Farstrider” or “Ranger” tattoos. The are exclusively Alleria’s.
-
Blood Elves have plenty of examples of Tattoos to draw from that are actually part of their theme. Rommath is the one who helped rebuild their society so it’s not like he’s any small time character.
-
It would make far more sense to focus on something that’s part of the Blood Elves and not part of the Void Elves for Blood Elf ideas.
And I will leave it at that. Have fun.
There definitely needs to be more tattoos and scars for races.
Except it’s a direct reference to the rangers you’re saying were retconned (Which there’s no proof of.)
You realize those “Longhouses” are the same model as the Night elf buildings right? Let’s not pretend that the design choice is significant because Quel’thalas, and it’s buildings didn’t look like longhouses even when they were still called High elves. It’s clearly Blizzard reusing old assets out of laziness.
Except they already said that all customizations are lore-friendly, so clearly it was okayed for the lore before it was finalized.
It’s funny that despite the narrator literally saying they are being cleansed by the Sunwell, blue eyes didn’t make sense, but with literally zero lore exposition somehow blood elf skin tones justify suggestions like paladins. How very convenient.
I mean I’m the only one that gets to actually look and play as the high elves you’ve been pining over all these years so I’m pretty happy.
I guess I can take a page from your book and say you only get to play… What was it you said to the people who originally suggested the possibility for gold eyes for blood elves… Oh right “You’re Void-tainted! And that isn’t gonna happen!”
How amusing it now is that you’re now playing the tainted elves, and we get the pure ones. But it’s okay, I’ll make sure to kill some of them big void baddies on my blue eyed elf paladin for ya.
I mean you’re the only one popping into request threads telling people what they can and can’t request despite making absurd lists desperately with themes completely contradictive to the race you’re trying to add them on.
Get over yourself.
Except none of the * playable * characters had tattoos because of the limited engine at the time. Heck, only now are themes from previous games being realized through customization.
Within the World of Azeroth there is no difference between those themes, they are all contributed to the elves. WC2 isn’t even that long ago, so if Alleria had those tattoos, and we SAW rangers who are being referenced by Blood elf NPCS in the game, and were said to be led by Alleria herself… Like let’s have some common sense.
Except we saw Rangers that had them, that alone justifies there existence, the fact that they also had different designs doesn’t mean their tattoos are retconned. You REALLY have no idea what the word retcon means.
Who looks completely different from any Void elf in game because they’re all Blood elf mages
Just like there’s no reason Blood elf Farstriders wouldn’t have tattoos either. Like if we’re going to take leaps with the lore, at least acknowledge that you’re doing it lolol
I mean, I got my blue eyes, and blonde hair and you still got purple glowsticks. Only one of us gets to look like an actual High elf, and it certainly isn’t you.
-
Doesn’t rationalize the idea of being cleansed of the void in any capacity, certainly not more than the arguments that were put forth about the Sunwell cleansing the Blood elves of mere fel taint, where as the Void elves go through void transformation that turns their blood purple, and sprouts tentacles off their heads.
-
Except it’s entirely possible that there is since nothing states that the rangers who fought alongside Alleria in WC2 have changed their appearance in any capacity.
-
The would only really rationalize mages, whereas the Farstriders do not like, or associate themselves with magic, or runes so it would be completely inappropriate on them. The Ranger tattoos that existed would make far more sense on them historically then it would on any existing group.
-
Except Alleria is described as a Farstrider multiple times, and resembles one far better than any Alliance High elf in the game. This was reinforced with the game constantly reminding the player that she fought with them, and belonged to a group within their race. Her theme hearkens to the blood elves, whereas the High elves have adopted Alliance themes and cultures and largely abandoned their roots.
I mean, even the idea that Void elf mages would ever want to return to being anything like a Nature-dwelling Farstrider is laughable, especially when their cultures clash so heavily. I’d love to see any other Farstrider that’s willing to channel, and corrupt wildlife and it’s surroundings with the Void, I bet even Alleria would have been disgusted by that, too bad she wasn’t there.
both sides should get them really, Alliance can have blue ones though, Horde can have red or something. Since both sides have High Elves
We never drink demon blood, however, we do absorb demon souls.
Not true. To become a Demon Hunter you have to literally eat a demon first.
Absorb their soul, so play through the DH start zone and see. The drinking of demon blood was an Orc thing, and they eat rocks too.
Read the Illidan book.
You slay a demon and then eat its heart and drink its blood. Source: Illidan novel.
I still have no idea where this joke even came from.
I never realized how many tattoos there were.
They’re just jealous!
Why not both? They are the same race and share almost all the themes.
Everything you spout is Headcanon, Joy.
I’d say a no to the Alleria ones, faction Leader NPCs should stand out as unique, lets not take that away from her.
But yes to the rest.
I 100% totally support you! Give blood elves tattoos like all the cool blood elf NPCs!!!
Well that would just be the height of conformist edgy.
So can we, so why not both? Everyone wins that way
Necro, but I don’t care. These options look great! They should definitely get them.
This is definitely a necro
