since it was ruined with boxes give alchemists a token to switch to any other profession of their choice and it’s at cap at 450/450
No, it’s not completly ruined.
Flasks aren’t everything.
yeah i dont even bother at this point.
Healer’s box is 1-2 flasks per box, and every 5th box is empty.
I don’t even care anymore. They bricked it.
Imagine if Mongoose, Berserking, 81 Staff spell power would all drop from boxes.
And wrists sp, gloves STR. Basically every single enchant needed with an exception of 1 - to match speed potion that is an RNG research - im yet to get .
oh, and all good rare gems - stamina, intellect, AP/Crit.
This is what we call clueless.
Or they could stop giving us potions and flasks altogether and give us tanks and healers gold to buy those potions and flasks.
No I’m a realist, the flask market is screwed but Alchemy isn’t just about making flasks, there’s potions of speed/wild magic which will sell way more than flasks because they’re simply used more than flasks.
You can also convert Pygmy Suckerfish into Pygmy Oil and sell that, again Alchemy isn’t just about selling flasks you’re acting like that’s all Alchemists can do to make gold.
You’re so disconnected it’s not even funny, there are literally two potions that are crafting as a profit. Everything else, literally everything else in the profession has gone down the drain and his crafting at a deficit right now.
Then make them.
I don’t know anyone who uses elixirs, not me nor any of my guildies (for raid at least).
Alchemy hasn’t really been profitable since classic when flasks cost 150g+ and when you could stack every potion known to man.
It fell hard in TBC when they made the battle/guardian elixir types…
What sold in TBC? Flasks, mana pots, haste/destruction potions and primal mights. Am I missing anything? Not exactly a big market.
Imagine them giving away free gems in bags and then you say “don’t worry jewelcrafter, I’m sure there is something you can make”
Your logic sounds ridiculous.
90% of what you could make, as an alchemist was crafting out of profit, the last two expansions, this one every single craft is crafting at a deficit.
If you don’t see anything wrong with that, then you aren’t in tune enough with the actual problem.
Professions for the most part in the game are used for self benefit mostly, but alchemy is one of those professions that requires a target audience to sell to. Nobody wants to buy any potions because I get them for free. Mana potions for example, I just gave away over 500 to a guildy because they’re in every single bag.
So cringe.
give them two, so all these mooks with 0 forward thinking can swap back once alchemists can transmute epic gems.
Of course it’s bad, never said it wasn’t bad…
Oh no please don’t take away my 5g tip for doing those. Enchanting will be dOoMeD!!
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!
Its kinda funny how its always the same people crying over alchemy profit in these threads.
Absolutely not true.
Solution: swap to transmuation master. I need those meta gems-
If you were to use just 2 brain cells, you’d actually understand that all enchants dropping from boxes would render Chanting nearly useless and all mats will drop in prices drastically, as to why bother DEing/buying mats/leveling, when you get it from every single dungeon run.
There would be 1000’s Zerks/Mongs on AH all for 5g each.
I don’t get mats from running dungeons? Are you really that clueless on how enchanting works?
A better solution would be to just get rid of the stupid adventure boxes that were not in the original game and should not be here either. You’re trying to fix a symptom of the problem. I always go for its source.
It only costs like a hundred gold to switch to transmute doesn’t it?
If you think alchemy is deflated, go look at glyph market.
