Read again what i said. The KT have other good racial. The gilblin could swim faster but the overall racial of the KT could still be better. Nerfing and giving a better one to the horde isn’t the same at all. Nerfing is kind of taking away something. Giving a better version take away noting from the KT.
Again if the alliance see a problem in the fact that a aquatic race swim faster than their fat human, they are the problem, the victim mentality is the problem.

Gilgoblins do have a good chance of being playable for a number of reasons. Although it is also possible that what may be the AR is something we haven’t seen yet.

They are called gilgoblins. Gills are used to breathe underwater. o.o.
Anyway undead are not using lungs to live they live with magic. Personally I wish deathknights had a passive underwater breathing as well.

Ideally the racial for gilblins would be underwater breathing and increased swim speed. The cata timewalking toy actually does both of these. Gilblins are playable ingame rn with the disguise. It would be a nice throwback to the toy.

I used to call them Gilbins much earlier on. I think Gilgoblin is the most official term. Gilblin is short for it.
I think I saw the ingame tooltip say Gilblin when I used the toy. Not sure gotta check it later when I get on. They have nice aquatic tattoos and webbed phalanges. The female model looks cool. If not for being an allied race they would make a good cosmetic unlock similar to night warrior skin tones for night elves. I wouldnt mind either. I got 2 goblins. And I had a goblin mage but I wouldnt mind lvling a gilblin mage if the animations and mogs are good. I really dig the aquatic style and it would contrast dark irons.

Why I love these guys? They are humanoid amphibians without mermaid theme

Spider-Eye Goblins used to be a thing, but I don’t think they’re canon anymore

Imagine if they were sort of like Faldorei, but as goblins. Add that and make them part machine. It would be wicked cool.
"Deep in the jungles and dark caves of Azeroth dwell one of the first goblinoid races: the spider-eye goblins. These goblinoids have more in common with arachnids, lurking in the canopy of the jungles or in the caverns for their prey. "

Idea! Gilgob hunter starter pet is a fish in a bubble, like the noncombat pets.

Nazjatar is on the PTR guys! I’m currently playing through it atm. I’ll be sure to let yall know if I find anything interesting relating to Gilgoblins!

These guys in Nazjatar are called “kelfin.” I do not remember seeing this word before. Do you think a kelfin is a specific type of gilgoblin, or a new replacement word for gilgoblin?
Also, maybe it has been retconned or will be explained later, but the kelfin do not seem to be intellectually diminished in any way from regular goblins.

ooh interesting, well I haven’t gone on PTR (yet) but gilgoblins have a few organizations ending in “-fin” like Deepfin and Brackfin so it could be something liek that
Gilgoblins are more primitive than normal goblins but they don’t seem to be stupid. Unless they show signs of ingenuity on par with normal goblins and gnomes it might not be anything unusual

Ooh I’m in. So many gillies :o

Wouldn’t that just be the ones created by Hobart? Maybe he did something via alchemy that had already happened elsewhere via other magical evolution.
Maybe that’s why there’s so many of them. Maybe the ones in Naz’jatar came about another way.

Maybe they are a certain ‘tribe’ or ‘pod’ of gilgobs? Since they do seem to group together and work in separate little villages.
