Earning the highest tier rewards will take effort, yes.
Not just effort, but massive amounts of time down the drain as well.
Solo players donât really âneedâ mythic gear. But what reason is there for solo players not to have it when higher level delves exist? I havenât done any group content in weeks⌠Iâve been lazy lol.
I normally did 18-19 keys in DF each season, this season just isnât/ wasnât very fun to me. My luck in pugs was pretty abysmal too tbh which is why I stopped several weeks ago before they dropped the gilded to +8s. I may hop back in and knock some out for crests. I need to get back in to finish aotc anyway. Pugging that was a hellscape the first few weeks too.
Thanks for the nudge to get back in game ![]()
Yes, but youâll always be capped at some point, either due to skill level or actual ilvl cap (639). In DF, people like the OP would have been capped at a much lower ilvl, so the fact that they can get as high as they did from delves is good for them.
They want people to engage in the Multiplayer part of a MMORPG.
As your gear goes up those 8s will start to feel like 5s did at some point
because you dont need that gear for said content. the hardest delves pale in comparison to keys or mythic raid. like delves are a joke.
like i said before 8s are pretty tame now ive had a very high success rate with them since most people are just farming them.
hope to see you out there
Down the drain ? If someone is constantly timing 10âs why would that be considered time down the drain ? lol
Players enjoying that level of content and being rewarded for it acordingly.
Make friends of similar skill with similar goals and achieve them together!
Mainly because delves simply donât reach a comparable difficulty, the mechanical complexity is too low and the emphasis on them being soloable by all specs means thereâs no opportunity to require gameplay optimisation, you canât have DPS checks, you canât have fights that require proper timing of CDs, you canât have enrages, you canât have anything that tests how well a player can execute a rotation.
Iâd also like to take a moment of the topic of overlaps and ask people consider the other perspective. On one hand thereâs âMy items arenât finishedâ which leads people to feel the need to push into content they otherwise wouldnât, but on the other thereâs âI have these crests but nothing to spend them onâ. The whole goal of the crest system is to offer gradual consistent power increases week on week, if you get higher crests you donât necessarily need to wait for higher items to drop, you likely have something youâre wearing you can use them on right now. Letâs also remember champion is equivalent to normal, and without overlaps would only be 606 ilvl.
Thatâs fine if you enjoy it that much. Many donât. I find a well run challenging dungeon mildly entertaining. Iâd need a lot more than âmildly entertainingâ to justify the dozens of hours spent waiting for groups to form in order to build my score and knowledge up enough to even start getting useful rewards. For some the time is worth it. For me, that time would absolutely be considered time âdown the drainâ. The content and rewards donât appeal to me enough to justify the investment.
Ring in patch will be a nerf to all content as it will be stronger than all existing rings. So doing m+ will be easier.
Whatâs the best way to farm the Mythic crests from delves?
Iâve been running 8âs and I only have 6 so far. Is it just farming and cross your fingers?
Itâs mostly farming lesser crests and converting them up. Itâs slow but adds up over time.
Next season itâll be a lot easier because weâll be able to farm runed crests from t9-11 and get some gilded from t11.
You can farm runed crests now from T8 or higher delves. They come from the regular end of delve chests, not the bountiful ones. Also the gilded crests from T11 delves can only be obtained from your first 3 T11 delves that week. And I believe Blizzard said that you will only get one delvers bounty (the maps) a week but they now follow a cdf instead of being random chance. I.e. each time you fail to obtain one, the drop chance increases.
You can but 2 per delve is too low to be useful. The grind would be barbaric to get any meaningful amount. Next season the numbers will be high enough to be efficiently farmed.
I got 3 gilded crests from a t8 delve this week. Maybe they changed it again, Iâve never completed an 11 and I have 6 total.
You probably used a delver bounty. Each t8 bounty gives 3 gilded. The gilded from t11 donât start until next season.
If youâre lucky enough to get a bountiful map from a tier 8 delve you will get 3 giilded.
Also if you are 619 or more in all slots then you can convert your runed to gilded and if you can get 3 options from the vault at any level you can get upwards of 45 rune crests instead of a pick which can then be converted into a gilded crest.
Itâs not fast but it is doable.
Vault coins get you 15 gilded a week for doing nearly nothing at all. If you take it slow then you can also take it easy.
Not from delves per say, but if you donât like m+, the fastest way to farm gilded is to fly through the orbs when theyâre in hallowfall. It takes about 30 minutes for 15 gilded by trading up 405 weathered crests.
