i think i am stuck now, i got all my items up to 619 and the ones i can upgrade are asking me for those stones
But they seem very hard to farm, like too hard, from Delves you only can get 3 i think when they are lv 8
honestly at this point i am not enjoying myself, it is just exhausting
M7 hit too hard and many people tend to quit and only the last boss gives reward
i really think they should reduce the grinding bar
once you no longer need a certain crest type, just start trading up.

but i already hit my cap of those too
you only can get a max of 900 of those you can trade for the other stones
then you will have to start doing 8s, find people who don’t care about timing, going for completition

Not delves. Mythic plus. Keys level 8 and above will drop Gilded crests.
You can also get them by killing heroic Ansurek once a week.
uff, that sounds so hard, i think i will stay with my curret things, i am happy because i was able to do all as a healer, so, i think it worth all i did up until now :3

You can get there eventually with the Runed → Gilded upgrade once you have everything at 619. At least it’s a path towards getting the mythic set appearances, even if you probably won’t have time to full upgrade everything to max ilvl that way.
You can get gilded crests from the bounty maps. It is just luck based and you will have to farm delv 8s like crazy to try and get them. Mythic plus 8s do feel terrible this expansion. The delves are just more fun, wish the higher delves would drop 3 gilded but here we are. Hoping next season.
As a healer it’ll be easier to find groups. M+8 might sound daunting, but you shouldn’t give up before even trying. You might find its worth the time and able to reach your gilded crest goals.
You can convert 90 runed to 15 gilded once per week if you are at crest cap.
You also get 15 for killing Heroic Silken Court and Queen. It is very difficult to pug Queen but Court is manageable.
The only reliable ways to farm a large quantity are mythic raids or m+8 or above.
If that sounds unappealing, I’d recommend getting enough to upgrade the 9 necessary hero gear pieces to 623 to unlock the mythic transmog and retiring the character for the season. Then do it again on a different character. I don’t do m+ so that is what I’ve been doing. I find it to be a more manageable goal with a tangible (or at least visible) reward. So far I have 2 characters done and 3 that are almost done. I’m enjoying the process.
Unless you plan on doing harder content, it isn’t worth the effort to get to 626.
A few things:
If no friend there are also multiple key communities you can join and post your keys. Usually they have an agreed upon terms of leaving and joining that make them more reliable.
If you don’t wanna do mplus or mythic raid for them then just convert your lower tier crests upwards towards gilded.
Not just Ansurek. Heroic Silken Court, and the final two bosses of BRD on heroic also drop 15 gilded crests.
Meaning if you do both raids on heroic, that is 60 gilded crests right there. If you don’t need runed anymore, add another 15 (as a full clear of either raid is 90 runed). Meaning 1 timed 8 key or higher and a T8 delvers map = 90 gilded crests when you add them all up.
Don’t take this the wrong way, I’m legit curious because I’m trying to free myself from it:
If you don’t run M+8 or above, why are you interested in being stronger than 619?
I’m asking because I always fall for “I want a bigger ilvl” and then get stuck doing harder and more stressful content and I feel like I miss out on other stuff in WoW.
Before I got confident doing them the reason for me was just to finish the track of my gear. I didn’t really aspire to get full myth track cause rng but finishing hero can feel good
Getting more powerful is always appealing. It does kind of suck they gave no way to get past 619 solo without having to buy the higher crests. Pugging M+ was not real fun this season so once I got 6s and 7s in everything I noped out and started playing casually here and there. Difficulty wise, I see no reason that gilded crests couldn’t/shouldn’t drop from tier 10/11 delves personally.
The current gearing/upgrade system is designed in such a way to encourage this.
Rather than say, heroic just dropping heroic crests that neatly get your gear to 6/6 - instead heroic gear and heroic crests get you to an annoying 4/6. AND you get a little bit of the next tier of crests just to entice you more.
