Gifting Upgrade

Is it possible to gift a digital upgrade?

i gift my brother game time all the time id like to surprise him with an upgrade, i dont see the gift option?

When you go to the Shop, depending on what you’re looking to gift, the option should pop-up when you select the item. For example, when I go to Shadowlands I have the option to gift right below the Buy button:

Note: Prices shown are Canadian

Are you referring to upgrading versions of an existing expansion (such as moving from basic to heroic or to epic or applying a digital deluxe upgrade) OR did you mean upgrading as in moving to the next (or upcoming) expansion?

If the former, I do not believe that can be gifted as the system has to determine what upgrade a particular license is eligible for on an individual basis. But you can gift Battle Net Balance to your brother to cover the costs.

If you were referring to the latter, then Perl’s information should apply.

hes a returning player from WOD or Legion (Forget where he left off) wanted to upgrade him to BFA via the digital upgrade if possible. thinking maybe i should just log into his battle net and doing it that way.

Please don’t do that. You’re not allowed to log into their account and it could result in their account being closed. In fact, you shouldn’t even have their login information at all!

It looks like there’s no Gift option for that particular purchase (at least not for me). Instead, gift your friend the battle.net balance for them to buy it themselves as Kyzera so helpfully pointed out

One thing I forgot to mention last night, be sure that you are looking at the full expansion & not the digital deluxe upgrade (which is just meant to upgrade an existing BFA account to the Digital Deluxe version of BFA) if your intention is that your brother moves from Legion to the BFA expansion.
