Gifted expansion not showing

Friend gifted me the base Dragonflight expansion and I redeemed it from the gift section, but it’s not registered or showing anywhere on my account. I followed the link directly from my email and I know 100% it was from my main account (this one) but after I redeemed it, it’s as if it never happened. I know with gifted items going to mailboxes it can take up to 24 hours but is that the same from redeeming a gifted expansion?

I should also mention I never got an email or anything stating that I redeemed the gift / expansion either.

***As an update I did get the minion from preordering yesterday and the battle.net launcher sometimes shows me having the expansion and other times doesn’t but the battle.net account website doesn’t show any signs of me having it nor am I able to create the new race/class.

I’ve tried logging out and in, repairing and even reinstalling but none of that seems to help

The simple answer is yes. It can take up to 24 hours as Blizzard wants to make sure the charge is actually good and it takes the banks up to that long to submit the funds to Blizzard.
