Hi,
so I got gifted a code for Dragonflight Epic edition and I redeemed it. I played all of yesterday without any issues. Today after the patch my entire epic edition is missing, it says I don’t have the expansion, or game time. When I checked my account on the web version there’s no history of me ever redeeming the key. I attempted to redeem the key again but it says it’s already been used. What should I do?
Have who ever gifted you it open a problem with purchase ticket.
My bad I should have specified it wasn’t an in-client gift but I was given a key code from a friend that had extra. I don’t know if that matters/changes anything. ;;
Where did they get the key code ifit wasnt from blizzard themselves thats why.
They work for Activision and had extra codes from work.
Perhaps one of our SFAs will pop in to elaborate further, but I believe I recall seeing anything like these? You should tell your friend and have them troubleshoot it internally. Any kind of gifted keys like these, alpha/beta and the like, most of the time that’s what I usually remember seeing advised. It may not be something the normal CS folks can handle since it would be something coming from the company itself - if that makes any sense?
I don’t think my friend can do much they are just QA tester.
Make sure you are checking you are logging into the right licence.
They can still ask whoever hired them.
Whomever gave them the codes to hand out would be able to help, or some internal way to deal with any issues or at the very least whom to speak with if any issues arise from the codes. Unfortunately, this forum is one for players to assist other players. No GMs or any staff who addresses those kinds of things come here. The Blues you see posting here are SFAs and don’t usually have any way to apply any sort of fixes. They may see something underneath the hood of things, but I believe they’ve gone home for the day. Perhaps when they get back in in the morning they can offer some insight.
The only other thing I can think of to check that may seem kind of goofy? On your launcher - sometimes it can change the proper selections if you’ve tried bouncing between game iterations or even no reason at all.
Sorry, do you mean the right game version/account by license?
You can have up to 8 licences under the one bnet account. Alot of the time with gifts what it does is actually create a whole new licence rather than upgrade an existing one. So if you check the drop down on the launcher it will show if any licence under your account has been upgraded, not just the one you think you should be using. Sometimes the gift mode its not quite intuitive that its making a new licence
I checked the different game versions and accounts in both the web browser and the client but none of them come up as upgraded/are available to play. Unless I am misunderstanding what you mean.
Yah, if that’s not showing up anywhere then absolutely reach out to your friend. No matter what department or position they hold, they would have to be the one to figure out who to reach out to to get it figured out.
I was just digging back through the history of posts and pretty much any instance of friends and family codes and opt-ins are pretty hands-off on this side of things. It would have to be handled through your friend with the contacts. I’m sorry I don’t have a better response than that.
Looks like you have a NA and an EU WoW license.
Dragonflight is on your NA license.
Did you get this sorted?
