Declined a lot under him too. SO yeah.
In 1979 the top game devs at Atari left to form a company that would finally offer developers the pay, recognition, and respect they deserved. And so Activision was born.
Honestly, thatâs an amazingly awesome and fun career combo. Sounds like someone whoâs just trying to live their best life!
Opinions change, Dan.
I donât agree with the ultimate fate of Garrosh, and I donât particularly like the Pandaren (theyâre fine. Relax). And I still think back on Mists with overwhelming positivity.
Isle of Thunder was chefâs kiss. And for all the noise about âTrAvErSaL IS cOnTeNt!!!â That started with WoD and Pathfinder, MISTS was a joy to really explore. There so much detail in Pandaria. So many great scenes, scenery, hidden places. So much love put into it.
Every expansion since Warlords has felt like a series of video-game levels. Mists felt like a living breathing world.
Ghostcrawler was not that great. I donât get the praise. He sure as heck didnât get much praise when he was here. But I guess people choose to not remember that or was absent.
I remember, he got a lot of flack. At least he communicated with the community. Remember, he is still just a person.
Had a fight behind closed doors and got pissed. Quits company claiming family and personal issues. Riotâs MMO never launches. Runs off to make his own WoW MMO killer studio. New studio spits out a couple garbage mobile games. Disappears into obscurity.
Roll credits.
The end.
Vertical motion is hard lol
Seemingly. Moving around the zone was never the problem. I would always targeted spells (i.e. consecration or divine star) and they would fall to the ocean floor.
Oh so yet another ex-Blizz employee starting a gaming company that wants to make an MMO?
Shocker!
However, GC was cool, got treated like carp by the community.
I hope he can make something that we will play.
He should have coughed up the pony everyone wanted.
microsoft deal goes through - some people are setting themselves up with jobs maybe
He stuck his neck out, and tried his hardest to connect the devs with the community.
We destroyed that relationship, it has never been the same since.
He saw the problems the players had and really seemed to try and figure out a better way.
That old âbring the player not the classâ being a typical GC thing to try and help out the community, obviously it didnât work as everyone is currently hating Ret Pallys lmao!
I do wonder what his dissertation was about. Itâs a real neat-down to work on one. I never did finish mine.
prolly for freedom but most definitely money yes
Mine was ~275 pages.
But I cheat, because half that was crystal structure data.
People bashed MoP because they felt it catered to China. The dungeons were fun and the gameplay solid.
Good, I hope his project w/e it may be become big and successful. Greg is a good dude. And hes got a lot of passion for MMOâs and games in gen. So.
