There’s a vid where Cdew literally just sits in ghost wolf, hands off keyboard, and no one can kill him. Someone explain to me how this is okay…and why it hasn’t been addressed.
Because its the only thing keeping shamans viable at all.

Well it’s not ok at all. Thing is tho there are so many broken things in the game atm it’s not even a remotely on the radar for most people.
Way more broken things are like gpy, destro, corruption in general, etc. ghost wolf is definitely stupid but just not lame enough compared to most other things
Its been nerfed that vid is pretty old.
You need to have rip tide ticking now then you can go afk

Pretty sure that video was before the inner ring traits were nerfed by 85% in PvP. But yeah ghost wolf m1a1 abrams mode is rshams bfa gimmick.

Been nerfed already.
Also, as the only healer with no instant cast heals, they need it and it is the only thing keeping them alive if a melee sneezes in their direction. They don’t have holy shocks, rapture bubbles, greater heals or life cocoon which all are insanely more toxic than ghost wolf healing.
And finally are we going to ignore that Resto druid overgrowth/hots+Bear form is Ghost Wolf but better in every conceivable way but has been around before and for all of BfA? They can also thorns themselves and kill opponents without casting a dps spell while being unkillable in this state, not to mention immune to polymorph and can stealth if you do ignore them, which you have to do.

And what is spirit link, ascendance burst heal and I dont think any other healer abuses conduit harder than shaman
And all that mana and gcds to just wolfing in that druid example

I watched a 330k resto sham sit through a 600khp unh DK’s burst in ghost wolf…yesterday…
Did the DK not have eyes or hands? Did they press their buttons at all?

Yeah? Resto shaman healing isn’t hard casted. If the shamans sitting in earthen it’s 100% expected.
There is no way you can have an approx item level of around 420 and survive a 460 unholy Di burst

lol that video is over 2 years old from the launch and has long since been fixed.
I watched for a good while. Abom came out, Apocalypse + pets with magus of the dead. Shaman sat there with riptide up and in ghost wolf through the entire thing. He even spammed a few zombies that smack away 10% of your health. I was effing amazed.
Was going to say there was no way unless the DK wasn’t pressing necrotic strike but here’s ur answer folks

They aren’t the same obviously, but they are better heals that can be used on allies or themselves. So good, they are the reason only a single shaman was in AWC and spoiler alert he didn’t win.
Spirit link is okay. Most matches i’ve been in, or witnessed it puts the shaman too far behind and allows the team to just switch to a squishy target. The shaman can’t heal them up since they have to cast ALL their heals and have one (dispellable) interrupt protection. Ascendance is good, i’ll give you that, but a 3 minute cooldown to heal for a total less than what life cocoon shields in one global with a third of the CD.
Also unsure how they abuse conduit harder than anyone else? Literally every healer runs it and has to, especially against any Destro lock comp that can kill a person in one fear if you don’t pre-vitality. Every monk druid priest runs it, with pal and disc at times too. If you watch any AWC at all it alone is the reason Monks are so toxic as it gives them a CD until cocoon is back up.
Not really important to discuss wolfing now as it doesn’t do what it does in the video OP talks about. A single melee can out dps the healing it does these days if they are bursting. But they’d be pretty dumb since you beat a shaman by hitting their teammates and abuses the fact they have weak CD’s and many that don’t even work if the shaman isn’t right next to them.
