Died in Eversong, rezzed at the Crossroads. Unable to get to body so stuck as ghost. I submitted a stuck player ticket hours ago and still nothing. Recently returned to the game a after many years away and it seems the customer services is a bit lacking. Is this becase of the patch or is it always this slow?
It all depends, but lately tickets have been taking days to weeks.
Can you not use the spirit rez? Also the stuck character link should be pretty quick, from what I understand it is automated and just places your character in a safe area.
Ouch! I sure hope not. Is it because of the bugged patch or just normally that slow?
Stuckncharacter have a higher priority then others did u try the self help option first or straight to contact us directly in the character unstuck screen.
They fixed it finally! Thanks for the help with the replies.
It looks like you are using the self-help unstuck system, Alkour. That isn’t going to get any response from Customer Support because they will never see those tickets. It is an automated feature.
You can try putting in a manual ticket here, but generally speaking a Game Master is mostly only going to move you across zones to a safe location. I don’t know if they would be able to resurrect you.
I should note that yes, for patch launches it generally gets pretty busy where response times will get longer.
Have you tried using the option to return to the graveyard? I don’t know if you have the window or not but you might try the following command: /script PortGraveyard()
It might just return you to the crossroads though. If you can interact with the spirit there, you might opt to just have them resurrect you. It isn’t the best solution, but it is usually the fastest.
Edit: I stand corrected… I think the self-help option did help resurrect. Well, now I’m curious on if that changed.
Glad to hear it, Keww!
Technically, your corpse is still recoverable, since the game allows you to travel to a continent where your corpse is while dead. [Provided there’s some travel option that doesn’t involve a portal you have to click on to use, like a boat or a zeppelin] …but having to run from the southern end of Eastern Kingdoms is a bit much [since the zeppelin from Org → UC doesn’t exist anymore].
You could instead run to the nearest fatigue waters in the Northern Barrens and die again (yes, you can die as a ghost), then release and run back to the new corpse you created.
I’m surprised no one has pointed this out: when you died, there was some kind of error, so it sent you to the “default” graveyard for your faction.
For Horde: you appear at the Crossroads.
For Alliance: you appear at Sentinel Hill.
Usually, you’ll see this happen if you die out of bounds and the game cannot properly determine where the nearest graveyard is, but there are rare cases where other glitches and errors can trigger it. Those two locations act as the failsafe for the moments when the issue pops up.
It’s annoying, but if you do wind up there, don’t sweat it. It’s generally just easier to take the spirit resurrection at that point and try to refrain from doing whatever it was you were doing if it’s obvious to you what might have happened.
After 20 years, I finally ran into it myself for the first time a few weeks ago. I was out gathering mining/herb nodes in Outland and got a bit too close to the southernmost edge of Shadowmoon Valley. Instantly dismounted in midair and fell into the void just off the edge of the map. The moment I saw the Eastern Kingdoms loading screen, I knew what had happened ![]()
