I seem to remember that there was a quest chain in Star’s Rest that, when completed, enabled a lowbie (say, level 71) to get to Dalaran. Is my memory correct? Does such a chain exist?

I think you need lvl 75 or 76? To start it. I’m not sure I’m doing the chain now at 72 for the Rep. My guild has lvl 77 Mage so we own Dalaran ATM. That chain starts in Stars Rest

If I am not mistaken, 71 or 72, is for mage. The rest are 74/75
Can confirm, as a Mage I got the quest at level 71 to attune to the Ley Lines and reach Dalaran. Of course this is a moot point, because everyone on Grobb already has access to Dalaran and I already know the teleport spell after getting a portal there from a level 74 Mage. Shrug

I just got a mage portal. Got there at 72 lol
Do you even need that, the dungeon has a summoning stone. Unless there are lvl requirements on it

Didn’t even check, but the end result is the same. Warlocks make their own summoning stone. 
Not sure what the hurry is to get there, but players in Classic pretty much seem hysterical & frantic about everything, so it figures.

Its around 74.Just wondering should be completed or not for keeping that quickway to Dalaran.
As for me, I want to be able to get back to SW, etc without taking the boats. Secondarily, I want to be able to do the fishing and cooking dailies as my profs are all TBC maxed (or greater. Finally, because Dalaran is in the middle of things, it’s sometimes handy to set one’s hearthstone there.

i was at the crystal last night on my 71 hunter, looked it up and apparently have to be lvl 74 to get quest to enter dal from the ground
