For some perspective, I’ve been mount collecting for ~15 years now. Here is what I have:

I am no stranger to long grinds for mounts. 15 years of 10-15 attempts per day it’s available is putting me at a point of diminishing return and it’s really tiresome. It’s no longer a mount I even want to use, I just want to be done. Good thing they added another mount this year which I have also been unlucky in getting.
Didnt they changed it so you can only really get the mount on the first attempt of the day with increased droprate to stop this (idiotic design) trend of people farming with an army of alts daily?
I dont think theres any real reason to do with alts unless you want some of the lesser rewards like the gas masks, or if you want the Love Tokens things (forgot the name)
According to the latest Blue post on the subject, the thing about it only dropping once a day does not apply to the Rocket, because it’s old. It only applies to the new Broom mount. Everything but the stuff they just added this year can still drop for alts in subsequent runs.
Well great design blizz, so if you want most chances at the rocket, gotta no life the thing for years, as usual…

To further clarify, it still has a higher chance to drop the first run of the day, just like the Broom. But the Rocket can still drop for an alt, and the Broom flat out can’t. Although plenty of people have claimed to have gotten the Broom on an alt the same day, so who even knows. I personally haven’t gotten either yet, but I’m not stressin.
For me, 0% times anything is still 0%, but it’s a quick queue and quick romp. If I get it great, if not, life goes on.
I’m certainly not setting expectations on what boils down to a big ol’ lottery.
I have exactly 3 attempts this time. First one was the sweeper, 3rd one was rocket.
I’ve never really farmed/bothered with it before this season. Maybe just a few times with friends who were trying for it.

I wish I’d paid attention to the notes that the Rocket could drop from alts, because I still haven’t gotten it on my main.
Has anyone gotten it on an alt yet, though, and not as their first run of the day?

I’ve done it like three times maybe since the event started. It’s really not worth losing hair over OP. Just hit the event once a day and then do something you actually enjoy instead of spending all of your game time chasing a mid mount.

Same…I´ve over 1000 mounts but I don´t get the mounts or the armor…Reward design in this game is the worse… 
When it started people were talking about the trick where you make a 5 man party with starter accounts and allied races on your bnet, then have them afk while you kill it on your main, then you get 5x the one day boosts, since the system grants them all at once and can’t really reconcile that there’s 5 all at once on that bnet account.
It was like every 3rd post for a couple days .
The fact that it has the super high chance first time of the day vs trash droprates after that on alts just means first run is key unless you want to drive yourself crazy or have a lot of free time to do nonstop runs.
Use some self control OP.
