I learned really quickly into mount collecting that the super rare drops you just have to collect passively.
Directly going after them full throttle until it drops will burn you out so fast.

Yeah got the broom first try doing this.
There is no point in throwing tons of alt attempts at these mounts unless you don’t care about how much time it wastes. If you do care, then get the increased chance for first attempt and then leave it.

I have done many attempts over the years with most of my 30+ alts. Last year I couldn’t even get the dragon saddle. This year my wife queued with me once a day on my many attempts. She has received the rocket, the sweeper and the saddle all since this started. A total of 8 attempts and she has them all… wtf Blizzard. I am still hunting for all three.

OP, I’m sorry that Blizzard is forcing you into running garbage content over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. Here’s hoping that one day everybody will be able to play the game how they want, when they want.
This is truly horrible and you have my sympathies for Blizzard forcing you though this ordeal.

Still haven’t gotten either mount.
~13 years here, not counting times when I wasn’t subbed, with 10+ chars, almost every day.
13 chars/day this year, still nothing.
It has become kind of a ritual though, even my wife who doesn’t play gets hyped at this time lol.
I don’t even want the mount tbh.
I’ve only seen it “drop” in group like twice over all those runs.
OTOH, I got the new broom on my very first run of the year.
The rocket and broom can be frustrating but you have to learn to let go when the event is done and you can try again next year.
I still need the rocket, but I refuse to run it on 22+ alts every day for the tiniest crumb of a chance to get a +1 to mount collection.
Data for Azeroth puts you are #53 on US for mounts collected. That’s pretty dang good.

i would say keep at it and dont hope you will get it.
this uhm…seems like you have a bigger issue than a mount not dropping.

It’s frustrating, I agree. There are mounts that I’ve farmed and obtained on my first or second try. Some that took months. Some that took years. You’re just having very bad luck with that one. There are mounts that still have not dropped for me for that long.
Want to hear some craziness? I’ve never had this mount drop for me, and I’ve been subbed on and off since the beginning. My wife has been playing a fraction of that time. Event started this year and in that time she has had the rocket, the broom, and the armor all drop for her. Just goes to show how RNG can be a ruthless beast or a generous benefactor.
And that makes you think “what the heck?”
There is a mount I got on my first try on a boss, and I wasn’t even trying, didn’t even know it dropped a mount. Someone in my guild got very angry as they’d been farming it on 10 toons for years.
