Getting no loot = burnout

Shhhhhh, don’t let the Blizzstoppo know there is a loophole o:

I’m burned out from trying to grind my third toon through Torghast…Floor 1…Floor 2…Floor 3…Floor 4…Floor 5…Floor 6…OH YOU GOT BAD RNG??? Floor 6 again! Floor 6 again!!!

I’ve done this garbage on two other toons. I’m fed up with it. Then the GD anima quests in Torghast…

I do not know if this is the worst xpac ever but it is surely the laziest.

I haven’t even got loot from normal heroic dungeons. I have ran 35 of them in the last week, 20 of them for a weapon, and have only got an average of 1 piece of loot per -6- dungeons. And it is the SAME piece of loot every time.

I can only imagine M+ being even worse.

Then one of two thigns needs to happen

  1. Things need to be fun enough to warrant not getting gear for

  2. They need to reward somethign that isnt’ gear but is some form of progress

If it’s not either of those and takes a decent chunk of time, it is literally time wasted.

playing wow is like hitting your finger with a hammer lol… and then you keep doing it

Thus. Similar to what they did with PvP gear, the currency system allows players to grind but feel accomplished when they reach a goal.

Bring back TF … then my 1 drop of the week from the vault will have s chance and being decent…

All of you morons who are saying loot is fine and it’s good that it’s not “raining down” need to realize that for alot of people, that is simply not fun or rewarding and it’s going to lead to the playerbase declining quicker that it already is.

If you somehow think that’s a good thing, then get your head checked.

100% agree. I don’t play as much as in previous expansions because of this. I used to enjoy farming mythic +. Now I just do the minimum.

Yup. Doing content for 35 anima over and over is not ‘rewarding’.
Content for it’s time investment, needs something to show for it, or more people will just stop doing it and move to something that is worth their time.

I don’t like to be a doom-sayer but participation in this expansion is gonna take a hit very soon.

That… lowers your chance at good gear.

I’m late to the party… but I’ve been trying to brainstorm an idea to tweak the current gatekeeping of gear.

What if they allowed players one re-rool weekly between mythic dungeons and raids and make it cost anima? Or maybe slow you to “re-roll” your Great Vault gear once if you didn’t like your options?

I’m a little more casual, and cannot dedicate as much time as I’d like. So the gear I can choose from is limited, making it feel worse. If acquiring gear is supposed to feel good, can it really feel like it? BfA had too much gear available, I’m worried this has too little?

Math hard i do know 8 runs in a row = 0 er 280 animawhatever-ish

I ran five heroics on my alt yesterday.

I got no loot. Feels bad.

I’m going to say it yet again, bringing back valor and justice points would really help fix this issue.

I’ll take the current system over the ridiculous BFA version we had any day.

Just loot flying at me from all directions and 90% of it was useless. I switched gear so much that I honestly cannot remember the name of a single piece of gear I had in BFA.

A slow and steady stream of actually meaningful loot is much preferable.

I’ll say this as much as I have to.

We need Justice and Valor points back, just like they brought back Honor and Conquest. Without them we only have bad RNG to work with and that is not interesting to anyone who isn’t already playing classic instead of retail.

M+ was never meant for a loot farm and since people got used to it they cant cope.

I don’t agree with the current system, but you are actually blaming blizzard? Despite reading posts from all the people that support “meaningful loot.”

Again, I don’t like it either, but this is what classic players asked for.

So that casual players can buy 1 piece of gear every 2 months that gets out-scaled by the time they can buy it? No thanks, we can do better.

lol…

Well, it’s obvious you didn’t know how they worked. You’d get a quality piece of gear of your chosing every 2-3 weeks. Possibly sooner depending on slot. That was the quality piece of gear (Valor).

You could spend the day farming for decent pieces that would get your foot in the door (Justice).

The way honor and conquest work now is wonderful… for people who PVP. We need a PVE equivalent. This would reduce the feelings of working for nothing.

If I’m running M+ and I don’t get a drop but I do get a hefty bit of currency (one with a weekly cap) then I wouldn’t feel so bad.
