I just got kicked off and WoW closed out and was greeted by a message on Battle.net that I had logged in somewhere else. However, I didn’t get a notification on my authenticator that there was a request.
Look in the background, you likely have a second active game client running and it kicked the first one offline. I’ve had this happen several times myself.
If you’re wanting to check for sure, there login details under security in account management.
Sorry about the edits, my keyboard is acting goofy.
Which is at this URL:
https://account.battle.net/security
If you see a login in the list at the bottom of that page that looks like someone is logging into the Battle.net Desktop app (launcher) or game from someplace you are not at, someone may have compromised your account and is accessing it without authorization (since they’re not you). Use the “Update your password to secure your account” link to take back the account.
This is probably the least likely of reasons for you to have been booted from the game with that message, but you want to check to be sure.
Question, your operating system isn’t Windows 11, is it? Just a possibility, but if you hit Win+Tab, you open up this pane where you can switch between desktops, could it possibly be your logged in on your computer from a different desktop?
I changed my password just to be safe. When I checked the activity log, only I was logged in; there were no other open game clients. Also, it was the battle.net client that said I logged in somewhere else.
I’ve had that a few times. One time I had a brainfart and opened another instance of WOW when I was already logged into the game (I had gone afk to make some food).
