This evening, while killing the IC bosses on my MM hunter, I got gear that isn’t for me. Specifically, I got [Miniscule Abomination in a Jar], which procs on melee attacks. Since I’m a MM hunter, that isn’t going to be very often…
I did check to make sure, and my loot specialization is set to marksmanship.
My trinkets are my lowest ilvl gear on this character, so I was really excited when I got an ilvl 110 trinket. Until I read the tooltip…
Those bosses don’t drop spec specifically loot, Tuladono. Each boss can drop a few different items, if it is something that your class can use, you have a chance to receive it.

I think that’s really dumb that it would give a melee item to class that is primarily ranged. But, sure… I guess I’ll go vendor this trinket that I desperately needed.

The mob that does drop it, seems to only drop that trinket, the Accursed Keepsake and the Pitch Black Scourgestones. Each mob has a very small loot table.
For sure you may want the bow from Lady Deathwhisper, but I actually don’t think another rare here drops a different trinket. You may want to make sure to hit them all though just in case.
This is a special event, resurrecting bosses that were fought in various Northrend Dungeons. If you are looking to gear up, you might want to run dungeons/raids of the current content, which does adhere to the fairly modern looting mechanics.
Note: Argent Commendations can be used to purchase iLevel 100 gear. Though most are going for the appearance.
