Since the launch of the patch today my game randomly lags super hard then parts of my screen gets highlighted in green. When i try to inspect someone or my details addon is just like a big green block. Anyone else having this happen to them and know how to fix? I dont have any issues with anything outside the game or any other game.

Yep, sometimes several times in a row, mostly in towns. My entire game will flash and reload everything.

Good to know it’s not just me having that issue. It’s only happened twice, but it had me worried that something was wrong on my end.

I had several green boxes floating across my screen today, but one of my guild mates said it could be an addon that’s not been updated. Even though I updated all my addons just prior to logging on, I double checked and sure enough, three addons required updates even though they were fine before I logged on.
So check periodically to see if addons were updated since the last time you checked. Some are late in updating and show up after you already checked. If you do the updates while in game, make sure you /reload ui after updating any and it should clear up.

Yes, except mine is blue. I turned off all my addons because I hadn’t updated them yet and it didn’t help.
Yeah, it’s been happening a bit to me, during the Arathi questline.
Hasn’t happened since, weird.
Yeah that happened to me too I was getting green boxes everywhere logged out and back in did the scan and repair…it looks like something blizzard has to fix on there end there’s nothing we can do…

Had the same issues. Changed from DX12 to DX11 and it’s gone. Hope this helps anyone.

Hi this happened to me despite addons (green near certain windows and health bars). I have a 4090 and updated my drivers to the one that came out yesterday and that seems to have fixed the issue for me

I’m having the same issue on my 2060. reload TEMPORARILY fixes it

Seems like every time it has happened to me it’s been Details getting hit .
Had this happen to me a few times, I figured my ancient soviet era laptop was finally dying.
I have all addons off I also updated my drives on computer and graphics card then deleted the cache, wtf, and interface files. Everything seems fine until I go to either look at someone’s transmog or try to change my transmog the game will glitch and things turn green and just a few minutes ago WOW crashed

I’m glad I’m not the only one having this issue, I was kicked from a time walk because I crashed twice and couldnt move and got an access violation error again. What’s weird is accessing teh transmog menu also causes this issue At least for me hope someone can come up with a fix

Graphics black out for me, can still see all text on the screen. This has only been since the patch went live on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, zero problems with graphic glitches prior to patch. Applying recommended ‘fixes’ to a similar problem with March 2025 patch does not solve the problem. Most likely cannot fix this from user/customer PC side, but I’m not a blizzard dev /shrug.

I have been wracking my brain on how to fix this. I updated my graphics card, I repeatedly been updating my add ons. To only find out, its happening no matter what. I have two PC’s and I have a wow account and so does my husband. I got on his account on his pc to help him get a few dungeon runs while he was at work. And he has 0 add ons, none of them at all. And it was happening on his pc too. So this is VERY much on Blizzard’s end and theres been a few patch downloads but nothing has fixed it yet. I’m out of my wits end trying to get it fixed finally because it makes it difficult to dungeon or do delves when my game keeps FREEZING up just to do the green screen glitch. If anyone has an info on how to fix this, let me know. But I fear it’s something that we all have to wait for blizzard to figure it out.
