As far as I can tell it is a bug on blizzard’s end with no ability to fix on our end. hopefully they fix it
It seems to be mainly on Nvidia cards. I’ve been dealing with the same thing. Pretty much all you can do is switch over to Direct x 11. It hits me more opening collections/tansmogs so I switch over to 11 to open those then switch back to 12. I run ConsolePort and just made a reload macro so I can hit that real quick if the graphics glitch during teleports or zoning… It would be nice to see something from Blizz addressing it though.

I just hope blizzard isn’t pointing at nvidia to fix it and then nvidia pointing at blizzard to fix it. That just anyone of them fixes it cause it’s pretty much out of our hands xD I’m hoping by tues it’ll be solved as the maintenance is longer then an hour.

Green squares instead of icons around minimap, blank or green bars on damage meter. Tried updating video drivers. Worst issue was trying to transmog gear, terrible lag and screen kept refreshing before loading, major transmog interface fail.
Please fix, Blizzard.

Thank goodness it’s not just me. I thought it was tied to the ASUS Crate vulnerability and that I was being hacked. As it stands I had to do a system restore AND a partial wipe because after the game crashed, my AV software kept saying “MSedgew” is trying to install every time you boot. “Allow, Deny,” but would freeze the PC Before I could choose a thing.
I hate that we cannot uninstall that trash web-browser. It always causes more issues than it helps.
As has been suggested i think this is an out of date addon issue.
I started getting this in the last day or so. It either goes black screen or goes green.
Had it happen right before we started a key and a reload fixed it…glad it didn’t happen after the key started.
This has only happened to me once so far. It turned my Details box green and had little green boxes where the icons on the top should be.
I’ve had this happen a few times then I have to reload UI. Also loading screens sometimes taking 45 seconds or so. Feels like a Beta version of the game. Actually just had it happen again and thought it was an out of date addon but guess it’s not just me.
Same with me happens when I tab out off game vuhdo and raid frames turn green

yeah, I get the green stuff on the screen sometimes. mostly involved with lorewalking.
i jsut think that phasing has gotten out of control in the game. i am sure that it is technically challenging and unlocks all sorts of possibilities that instancing would not allow for, but still…
I had to redo the entire ethereal storyline because one step didn’t record credit for me even though I had to have completed it or I could not have gotten past it, which I did. oi…
Make sure you’ve got the latest drivers for your video card. Nvidia released bad drivers recently, but they put out updated ones last week to fix widespread issues.
As stated above, change from DirectX 12 to DirectX 11 and it stops happening. Also, yes, it’s related to the linked issue above (still not solved).
Not sure if it’s Blizzard or Nvidia, I updated the drivers and it didn’t solve the issue. I tried absolutely everything graphics related. Only lowering the graphics to minimum quality did something, but it shouldn’t happen, my laptop should be more than fine.
So far, you should change the API to DirectX 11 as a workaround, until a fix from wherever side comes. I don’t see much of a graphic change, and at least it’ll let you play.

This is not caused by out of date addons or video cards. It is fixed by changing your in game settings to go from Direct X 12 to 11. Blizzard broke something on one of the maintenance days and until they fix it, switch back to 11.

Changing from DX12 to DX11 did not fix this for me.
Hmm I’ll give it a try but going from Direct X 11 actually caused the game to lag out then turn green. Had to reload UI again. I lowered other graphics too. Hoping it stops.
I’ve gotten 5 green sceens today. I feel like I’m still Beta testing Chrono Odyssey.

Sorry that’s what fixed it for me. I tried updating/disabling addons and that didn’t do it. I have an NVIDIA graphic card if that matters and I never update it.
Just to be sure you updated it within the game correct? Options → Graphics → change Graphics API to Direct X 11
If not, sorry idk.

Yea, before that it was on auto detect. Honestly never mess around too much with the graphics but that is what it was set on. So we shall see what happens. Game is so laggy though and loading screens are forever.
