I used to play this game every day. I have not logged in for weeks. This cloak system is not fun and is too punishing. I can never find a good pug to do the side areas and then we all die and I have wasted hours of farming. I have tried doing the areas solo and was also not successful. Corrupted gear is unusable until high cloak level so what is the point of farming dungeons for loot I can’t use? Maybe if orbs were usable during combat or unlimited?

I’ll do the cloak on more characters if Sethrak were playable cause I’d level a bunch of those. 
Right now I’m just interested in maintaining my main.

If there were actual currencies/vendors for the corrupted effects it wouldn’t be so bad. Much better than this slot machine nonsense we have now.

I just deleted, or would vendor the stuff, if it corrupted. Like I said I’ve logged in once over the last few weeks, and that was to do the heroic warfronts when they were up, and the items didn’t corrupt, so I didn’t have to vendor, or delete the items from the warfronts at least haha. As for the cloak, I don’t have it on any characters.

I would play 8.3, without complaining about how disheartening this patch is, if there were sethraks as a playable race at the end of the tunnel.
But the truth is that until now, I am making better use of my time with my vulpera.
Make sethrak a playable race.
Sethraks can be a race of the horde exclusively.
I dont care.
I will play 8.3 if something of value, like sethrak, is given to justify the job.

I’ve mentioned in a few threads today about this same thing.
We no longer have a game where the content ( Story , quests, raids dungeons or even pvp) is no longer the content but farming horrific vessels to go up grade cloaks , doing dungeons , raids or wqs just to keep farming until the right corruption is on an item or farming for azerite and essences. That has become the content of this expansion .
People are going to go well there has always been farming in wow , yes there has been and in the past it has been determenistic farming where we set a goal for an item and do a specific grind for it . Now it’s a rng will it wf/tf , corrupt . Will I get the essence I need , oh I have to do this part of the game I don’t like to get this certain one. It is to me like Blizz is trying to funnel people into doing what they don’t want to do then taking the time to go hey people had more fun when they had more agency. WoW was at it’s best when it was an MMORPG and not the current ARPG it has become.

There is no fun left in the game. It’s all just an ARPG now. Grind grind grind. Grind for this currency so you can get that currency so you can get a cloak to get more currency for more currency. Same for neck. Same for essences. Sigh. I actually miss Cata now.

Or they just went home. Devs are probably still in the office, but they never respond themselves. That’s what the CMs are for.

Thing From Beyond is so F’ing stupid on lower geared alts that don’t have much progress on cloak stuff; I just leave the item off. Oh but hey! Great all three emissaries offering gear upgrades! Too bad I can’t freaking choose the slot and lo and behold constantly have wasted time and energy when rewards are for the one or two items I already have of that ilvl. What a damn joke Blizzard.

Devs are so out of touch, less people do cloak quest so they think its because they can’t find the questgiver. 
Is this the same devs that will develope Shadowbland?
