Someone recently posted a thread about getting Doom debuff when he got a corrupted item and died from it. Obviously didn’t have cloak.

No way to know for sure but a blue post weeks later compared to when it launched and was available kind of confirms it lol.

Every time I log in, I play for a bit, then I get depressed and log out. I am logging in less and less. I don’t even care about this cloak. They will just remove the quest line at some point, like the last one. This game used to be fun.

When players are running through the daily zones only to get the 7 or so quests done instead of clearing all of the rares/chests/side quests too, yeah, its probably pretty bad.

I hope they release a WoD Legacy server soon. That way we can divide the player bases enough so they don’t have to try to cater to everyone.
Classic players can have easy mode. WoD players can have their alt armies and retail players can a decent challenge without it having to be nerfed 2 days in to appease the first two player bases.

I guess people really aren’t playing 8.3. Hopefully this gives them some ideas about what not to do in Shado-h who am I kidding, Shadowlands is going to have twelve currencies and three rep grinds every time you want to make a sandwich. They have taken the fun out of gaming.

I’m really not one to complain. I enjoy the essence system, and think the cloak is neat.
But Jesus Christ, this is such an awful system when you bring alts into it. I have alts I’ve played all expansion, and alts I’ve recently leveled since not touching them in Legion, and I’ve already quit all of them for the first time in 15 years. I ran about one of each class in Legion, and 2 druids. I literally have nothing to do all day, and I still don’t have the time nor interest to do 10x40mins daily.
At the moment, leveling the cloak to the current cap is minimum about 4 weeks, not including failures, and before you bring in the weeks of grinding near-mandatory rank 3 essences.
Even on this toon, my main, I’ve stopped leveling my cloak because doing trivial nonsense for 20mins a day bores me to death, to then try and dps through stuff against the clock in resto spec all while I can get randomly stunlocked, or just killed before I can react (and no, my corruption is under 40). and waste about 2-3 days in one go.
You need make essences accountwide, and maybe something like until you catch up to the current cloak cap, vision runs are free.
