Get the Wrath Classic WoW Token

Do you actually believe anything they say?

So rather than believe what they say, I should believe what you say, which is based off of literally nothing.

People on these forums are so weird

Given they just launched a WoW token for Wrath classic, we should believe nothing they say. Ever. Whatever they do is motivated by how many more yachts uncle Bobby gets - the faster the better.

I find it funny they wait till halfway through the expac.

Get everyone invested, that way there is the sunken cost fallacy, and minimize the fallout.

I find it sad & hilarious that you still have Wild Growth prioritizing pets ‘because that how it was 15 years ago’… while ninja releasing wow tokens in wrath.

Unbelievably shameless.

Community: “GET RID OF THE BOTS WHY DO YOU HATE YOUR GAME.”

(Also) Community: Buys astronomical amounts of gold all the time creating the bots

Token is probably the easiest way to reduce the massive influx of bots. Don’t buyem if you think they ruin your game. Such a weird discussion

:frowning:
Just as I start to get the smallest amount of faith again, we get unexpected news and poor decisions like this that continue to prove how immeasurable your greed is. For me, there is nothing to be proud of and no achievement to take pride in when I can pull out my wallet and pay to win. Yes, I can choose to not purchase one. Yes, it still bothers me. Over 80% of my guild just unsubscribed because of this, so… that’s it, I guess. Unsubscribed yet again from what used to be my favorite game for 16 years.
This is just my personal take, though I know a lot of people feel the same. To those of you who don’t care about things like this, I wish I had your mentality.
GLHF, and goodbye.

Wrong, Bots will now play for free, the market is going to be grossly inflated by the time ICC comes out. Primordial Saronites going to cost 20k gold. This experiment has already been completed in Retail. Bots will be generating more gold now than ever before.

WoW classic token gets added to Chinese classic version

Blizzard says “It’s only for the Chinese version and WoW token won’t be added to classic other wise”

Blizzard gets kicked out of China and still has yet to find a way to host their games there.

Blizzard adds WoW token to non Chinese version of classic.

Gotta make up that Chinese money some how. Even if it pales in comparison to how much they made from China.

Blizzard: Don’t you all have credit cards?

Fundamental principles of sales/marketing = acquisition, retention, and development. Has Activision/Blizzard acquired a user base? Absolutely. Are they holding onto that user base? Yes/no, attrition happens. Depends on which side of the fence one stands (HC vs. casual). Are relations being improved upon over time? That’s debatable. As for pve/raiding vs. pvp/arenas, we shall see where this story goes. All they need to do now is just create a pvp token that lets you purchase honor or APs. That will be the day. Once a game goes P2W and/or F2P, the game business/model basically just jumps the shark. Maybe it’s time to ask oneself the philosophical question, did they fool me once, or was it twice? My 2 cents. Cheers.

This was a very dumb decision. All this does is provide more access to people inflating the already screwed up economy.

Something I would like to point out:
6mo WoW Sub: ~$12.99/mo
Price of Tokens on AH (Faerlina-Horde): ~7.8k
Price of Gold on a popular website: $11.60 for 8k.

This means it is currently cheaper to stop paying for a sub entirely, and just buy gold.

Good thing this was ok to add, but not rdf. Thank you for the masterclass in ruining a business model.

Even if someone was to purchase shady bot gold to use for a token, blizzard still gets $20 for that sub.

Except they left out the original wrath feature…RDF. Guess that is the one and only thing that makes classic, retail.

Except they don’t as you are no longer paying blizzard actual money: you are buying your wow tokens with in-game gold entirely. Your money then goes to the gold seller, not blizz, not activision. In game coins are worthless to a company that at any time could add or remove as much as they wanted. Unless they’ve found a way to convert WoW gold to USD by selling it themselves (3rd party sites), they literally aren’t making money from in game gold.

The timing of token and JJ, is such odd coincidence… don’t you think… :joy:

Except the buyers of tokens aren’t stocking up til they have hundreds of years of game time.

There are far more token sellers than buyers.

Currently not with the amount of gold it costs (at least not on my server). With time, sure the token might be cheaper - but why pay 13 a month when you can save yourself 1.50 and not even pay the game company in the first place?

EDIT: Playing devil’s advocate. I have no interest in buying shady bot gold

Blizzard still makes that money.

Tokens have a 100% sale rate. Your auction will never expire. That doesn’t make sense for a free market.

Sure they lose some money from subs, but they 100% create gold from token sales.
