Get the Wrath Classic WoW Token

It’s because so many people are buying them with money and not enough people are buying them with gold.

Blizzard is selling tons of them right now, which is why the price is dropping. It’s an over supply issue.

This is my Opinion:

" The forum is screaming about bots we need GM’S!"
Bean Counter " No way that destroys profit"
" Look we need to fix this these are our customers"
Bean Counter " Let’s invoke our monopoly to solve the issue … the Token!"
" Um doesn’t really help in retail"
Bean Counter " Yea, but it makes us bank, baby needs new shoes!"

So It’s my opinion this move has one purpose … profit

It’s not good or bad, This is just what I believe.

How greedy can Blizz get. Absolutely shameless. At least please don’t add this garbage to Classic Era.

goes by region and not server. so a token on faerlina is the same as a token on benediction

Yep this is true. You aren’t actually listing it on the AH yourself. You buy it and Blizzard lists it for you region wide.

You went this far, just give us paid 70 boosts too. While you are at it put in RDF

Awesome! About time!

RDF issue =/= token issue.
2 different issues.

However…

being devils advocate here, gold buying is a serious issue in classic.
Why not capitalize on that?

Because it’s a slap in the face to people that wanted the problem fixed. The WoW Token does not have any affect on reducing bots, despite their claim.

If this wasn’t literally only about money, they wouldn’t have released it on Korean Servers, where there are no bots. To get a Bnet account on their servers, you need an ID to open the account. Thus, no bots. Still got a Token.

But how? (and i’m not saying if i agree with token or not btw)
I’m sure Classic is a very fragile side hustle. It’s all down to profit margins.
Bah half the playerbase? And bring it 1 step closer to shutting down?

I, obviously, have no idea what/how/why is happening over there.
But Devs MUST HAVE KNOWN it wouldn’t have been a welcomed addition.

They did it anyway.
There must have been a reason behind this.

As much as people hate on Brian Birmingham (Mainly for his Anti-RDF takes), I do believe he mainly had the right philosophies for Classic. At least they were thought-out and he posted long explanations of his philosophies for what makes Classic Classic.

I think after he was fired, the new lead just saw money signs

We can hope RDF comes next then now that he’s out.

They kind of shot themselves in the foot by allowing the token to only be used for gametime, instead of bnet currency. Same thing happened when blizzard originally launched it in WoD, it started at like 30k, dropped to 18k in the first few days, then slowly rose to around 60k over 2 years. Once they allowed bnet balance, it pretty much doubled overnight.

Brian was a chad. I do have mad respect for him. I may not have agreed with all his decisions, but he was a good dev lead.

And yeah, this would have happened under Brian.

And everybody here jumped for joy when Birmingham was fired/quit. I’ll see you all in Dragonflight, Abberus splits Tuesday/Friday

You will all still be playing. You will just have more customers for your GDKP. Win situation for the GDKP community.

To stop bot you need Gamemasters on each server period. The token will only allow them to play for free. Solves nothing.

Did not mean for that to be a reply to you Heavy.

How about instead of a token we get RDF now?

They are saving RDF for ICC patch. IMO. That’s what drug dealers do they hold out the good stuff until all the dank is gone.

They never said this. Actually, they explicitely said they have no intention of adding it, even during the phase they originally added it.
