Get the Wrath Classic WoW Token

Pretty much these devs have no idea what made classic good in the first place. But at least when they were trying to confine themselves to #nochanges they weren’t actively ruining it.

For you to buy a token, someone has to purchase the token for $20 on the shop then sell it to you for gold on the AH.

Exactly. The system is a way to get people to pay (at inflated rates) for the subs of people willing to farm gold.

Could you please rephrase using game time? I’m still not following.

What actually gives you the game time?

The tokens are redeemable for game time. That’s what drives the token economy. You can pay a subscription to play or buy a token to either buy time (pointless as the token costs more than a sub for the same time) or sell the token to players for in game gold so they can redeem it of game time.

The token when purchased from AH.

Thinking TBC and onward would be in the spirit of Classic WoW was your first mistake.

Hey, you wont be missed out with retail.

As soon as wotlk is over they will allow character copies, invalidating all of the peoples achievements from the past on retail. Retail isnt save either.

So, if I’m understanding correctly, someone else has to pay 20 dollars for it, not necessarily me.

But if not, i’ll find out for myself later, thank you for your time.

Correct…

Correct. You buy game time for $20 a pop in the form of a redeemable token. You can then either redeem the token for game time or sell it to players on the AH so they can redeem it for game time.

The token itself is nothing other than a subscription token. That’s its value and why people want to buy them.

It’s essentially a way to buy someone else game time but at an inflated price. You could buy it for a cash strapped friend or you could sell it top players for in-game gold.

Well how long does it take you to farm 10+k gold? That’s how much you have to play just to play for “free”

Yep, I quit before WoD released and never experienced this before so tried it out.

It’s scary easy to buy one for 20 bucks and, at least today, are selling in under 30 minutes.

Less than a month if I do all the dailies consistently - no problem. BTW it’s 10k gold now. I actually think it will be much cheaper - Classic players have deep pockets.

Roughly 500 a day, 3500 a week, 14000, a month. It’s doable.

But I don’t have to buy tokens every month.

It’s nice having the option every other month when I’m able to afford it.

Sorry guys, I’m still sold on this, but I don’t discount the merits of your point of views.

Polarized demographics, what can I tell you.

This just feels wrong for many reasons.

Sure 10k a month is not too hard, but that’s now 10k less you have at the end of the month. But we’ll see how the price ends up going long term.

for anyone thinking you could just farm 14k gold or whatever the price is now to get “free” game time. You are delusional as the price will go up to 20-30k over the next days/weeks per token.

So we’ll buy a token every other month when we can afford it or pay 15 as we have been doing all this time.

Coming from a better run economy in eve I had wow economy, both versions, trash for years to be frank.

Eve fixes its economy once in a while fixing “recipes”. mat erials pipelines are changed.

they want to have material X not be money printing presses…they change how much its needed. Or its sources.

Wow could fix price gouging for 1 to 70 mats really easy right now. then fix 80 in the process too maybe.

Option 1, keep the skill up needed, reduce amounts needed. recipe x needs 8 silks…its now 4. Easier crafting levels to starve out gougers. 50% recipe needs for “legacy” items…and even lazy people will go kill crap for loot/skins to get it.

Option 2, the retail way. Go straight to wrath crafting day 1 if so desired. Wrath tailoring no build up. No vanilla, no tbcc levels. Talk to tailor trainer no skills at all…learn wrath tailoring.

and now 5000 new tailors come to the market. And many would charge lower prices. So we get price competition.

Now the gouging ends on low ends, reduced in high ends. since not needed. Retail still gouges here, yes.

But its optional. that is t-mog ocd. the lazier you are, the more you are gonna pay to collect it all.

Classic has gougers inflating since not optional. the gear can be needed. If only to get wrath crafting which is all that is wanted.
