Get rid of pve high ILevel corrupted players from my Battlegrounds

Yea sorry I missed that earlier. It’s 2 on Tuesdays and 1 of them resets on Friday evening.

Only on t2 weapons. The entire set and t1 weapons stopped requiring rating as of Cata launch. t2 weapons still required 2200 but those were removed after s12 too. The difference between a gladiator and someone at 1100 rating was very small.

Which is how it should be. Gear should be even across all ratings in PvP. It’s better that way.

But was still there, as it should be.

No, there shouldn’t be a difference at all. I dunno why you push so hard when you’ll never see the gear that gives a difference, but really most people that actually push rating would agree that gear differences are stupid and should be irrelevant as long as there is still progression like vendors.

Yeah but in tbc-cata it was only a couple items that were rating locked (kinda like how the elite mog works now). I can’t remember which one’s but you still had access to 90% bis stuff.

Naw it shouldn’t. None of the top pvpers ask for it. I honestly have no clue how you advocate for this and templates. Completely opposite systems.

Because even with templates you were rewarded higher gear with higher rating. Doesn’t matter if I’d never achieve the highest gear, I don’t play at that rating so I don’t deserve it.

1800 weapons and 2200 shoulders I think.

Yes this is so true. Its about time blizzard had a shake up.

But the gear was virtually an irrelevant RNG mess. Aka gigantic venruki thread.

Again irrelevant… Too end pvpers don’t ask for it and it puts a skill and gear crutch for double the stompage. You say you don’t want unbiased bgs but you’re basically creating a prescription for it.

Yeah this sounds right … Super ratings gated  it was basically more of a mog lock than a power lock lol

People would care more about unlocking additional mogs and re-colors the higher rating they got probably than having an ilvl advantage.

You’d probably even get higher participation by adding more cosmetics to rated than you would by trying to bait people with higher ilvl gear.

They are adding vendors so this is irrelevant.

I’m not saying gear should be rating gated. But like they have it now. Extra 5 ilvls per 200 rating type of deal.

It’s not vendors… It’s some system they’re creating that they’re slapping with the label in the hopes of appeasing pvpers. Not stoked for it.

That’s gated behind rating though? And someone who is 1400 is significantly behind someone at 2400. An entire set that is 20ilvls lower? Or one or two items like before that are 20 ilvls lower.

All for what? The 2400 people don’t need or want it. They’re gonna stomp a 1400 lvl player with equal gear. If they have more gear and more skill it will straight up increase bg blowouts.

As they should be. We aren’t going to agree on this so no point for a back and forth.

Then perhaps you’re one of the slower players as discussed.

I can’t force people to spend 15 minutes a week to do (a quite simple) 5 mask.
It’s their choice and also their loss.

What does maining PvP gameplay have to do with whether or not you’ll ever get a rank 15 cloak?
Also what’s the fact here or are we just resorting to classic abomb posts that speak on behalf of other people to formulate an ‘argument’

As discussed above, there’s plenty of resources out their to guide you through a 5 mask.
Arguable casters have it the worst for all parts of the visions and I was easily able to 5 mask on a 455 Dlock.

Honestly a player issue, and the classic BG forums just complain because it requires minuscule brainpower which has never been provoked in their gameplay life because they only play random BGs.

It’s not a requirement, no.

Equates to saying the year 2020 is in a good state rn.

No, it shouldn’t be.

If somebody is already 800-2000 rating above somebody else then they don’t need upgrades. That’s the point of being that rating higher than others.

In Pvp, I just want to queue into an instance and do better by being better not having better numbers which make me perform better according to a graph.

I just keep going because I can’t fathom why. Nobody that would benefit ask or wants it. It’s completely against your philosophy. Ah well argue for the sake of arguing I guess.

Pretty much this.

I don’t understand the pushback not to have bis gear for playing the game that you enjoy

Say you like PvP, that portion of the game should reward your progress for PvP

Not hey man uuu need to slay some dragon’s

To be on even footing seems backwards thinking

That just won’t happen because specs come into play at that point.

Ummm what? This only amplified by having a gear disparity. You’re playing fotm as it’s op. So now you also get 10ilvl higher gear because you’re playing fotm. If only we could take the gear disparity out of it  I’d probably stand a better chance vs that dh (get lost jd :joy:)

Then the better specs would shine.

Hell yeh. I haven’t been that high in rated and I was psyched to get my 1900 boots in wotlk, but I’d love to have cool mogs, illusions etc.
