Get rid of mail armour in game

Oh look a hunter thinking that he’s entitled to others loot… Did you step back into playing vanilla?

I missed the /s at first and I thought; “man, this guy is nuts”

Have you ever actually LOOKED at mail armor in WoW? We don’t wear “a full suit of chain mail” we wear mostly leather or cloth with some light plating and some chain mail armor here and there… the only “full suit” chain mail armors are from back in classic, BC, and WotLK, several of which got converted to Plate when transmog came out.

leather mog is worse than mail mog no thanks. i agree hunter mog sucks but sham mog has enough pieces to make it way better than any leather mog pass main reason i can’t get into druids.

With the advent of transmogs, I don’t see why we even have armor types anymore. Especially when none of the sets look like their type. I say get rid of the entire type system and let anyone use any transmog they’ve earned.

That’s a weird takeaway from my analysis of why armor makes no sense, but whatever floats your boat I guess?

 WoW mail despite what wiki says is not purely mail, it’s mainly cloth/leather lamellar.

So, plate shamans like papa thrall, then? Since they have the best mogs

No, Blizzard shouldn’t remove anything just so the game matches your head canon.

Or the legions of combat Mages wearing plate (or mail?) in both Horde and Alliance… not even lore characters, these are just straight up cannon fodder NPCs in the stuff XD.

No, I am not swift or silent. I am going to make as much noise and make that thing suffer for daring to bother me while I am trying to mine. It will regret the day that it’s parents saw each other.
If I am feeling particularly vengeful, I will tame that annoying thing, and then leave it at the stable and never acknowledge it’s existence ever again. Every time it sees me arrive at the stable, it will sit in the cage while I play with the other pets.

(honestly no hat is cruel to do even to something like a digital animal. If they interrupt my mining, than they get to “play” with my slime and firefly.

The cost of things has never been a real factor in WoW. Only when it comes to paying workers, it seems. lol The way magic and technology is tossed around, you would think money was endless.

Depends on your hunter. For an elf, sure thing. Leather makes more sense. For a dwarf hunter, especially the dwarf rifleman/mountaineer, mail armor is more in line with them. Two different types of hunter/outdoorsmen.

No.
I like mail class.
Shaman wearing cloth doesn’t even make sense.

Except that Blizzard refuses to make mail that looks halfway decent. I’d love to get rid of mail just on that concept alone. Transmog is a nightmare for mail users.

Last time this came up, I posted this:

Functionally, it came true.

Actually, historically archers used a lot of mail armor. So, hunters fit right into wearing it.

Cause when you’re dealing with animals with big teeth, leather would be pretty bad choice

Too many cloth users as is. Don’t need to add Shamans to that list.

so instead of competing with only 1 other class for loot, you want to compete with 4 instead.

Leather squeaks. Mail clinks.

They would wear 100% pique cotton.

Mail is better armour than soft weak leather. Mail is light and flexible yet protective. Leather protects nothing, what sort of great hero wears leather? So soft and weak. Mail is better. It’s less restrictive than plate and stronger than leather and cloth. Mail is the best armour.
It’s easy to make and fix too! I wear chain mail irl and it’s great. Very effective and protective!!
